Many countries but 2 "leaders" ahead in most metrics.

One of them retreating from the world and gradually closing itself off (US), and the other steadily opening up and expanding it's contribution and influence (China).

That have a very minor effect on the global scale in comparison to these two, as well as Russia. The truth is there’s really only 3 countries that truly run the world at this current moment, and every other country is more or less merely along for the ride.

Yes, but let's face it: these countries are irrelevant to certain things. When the US decided to pull its support for Ukraine, it mattered because the entire war would change because of this. This is also why the EU is scrambling to reorganise because they are unfortunately unprepared. This is why China and the US are so significant. Everything they do will have a global effect.
