If the Donald gets to run a third time, Arnold should get his chance too. Might as well rewrite all the rules.

The US already has a foreign-born president. Arnie should definitely run.

He's also a year younger than trump, so age shouldn't be an issue either.

And far more healthy

I believe Arnold is also healthier than Trump.

By a giga long shot even with the steriods he used to take.

Honestly? He would win in a landslide. A not-unpopular moderate Republican (From before it was a dirty word) governed from Cali, with his name recognition? He’d be hard to beat. It’s clear that scandals/marriage difficulties/citizenship don’t matter anymore

I don’t want Taco Bell being the only restaurant left!

The steroid cycles back then weren't as agressive as most cycles you see taken today. They were closely monitored by doctors and didn't take steroids for like half a year. Most of the guys that competed back then are still alive and very healthy for their age.

Maybe my post was a bit obtuse - it’s a very small part of the movie Demolition Man that Arnold becomes the president in the future.

For the record, I would probably vote for him.

I'm not even American and I'd vote for him too

I don’t want to use the 3 shells

Can't, only one person has ever ran for a third term and it was the only exception so far in US history I believe.

It was FDR (Franklin Roosevelt). He was the only president to be elected a third term due to the Western Front devolving into chaos in World War II. Even though George Washington set the precedent for two terms, Roosevelt was elected again and fulfilled his role until he died of polio. Then, the 22nd amendment (restricting presidents to two terms) was ratified soon after.

Thank you for the yank history lesson. Didnt know it was Polio that stopped FDR in the end

It was a hemorrhagic stroke. Likely unrelated to polio.

FDR was also in a wheelchair for I’m pretty sure all of his presidency due to polio, but he kept it a secret from the masses using wire rigging and just sitting a lot. He also was elected a 4th term as well, and died early in it, right before WWII ended

Fuck no. Arnold is a fucking moronic politician. One of the biggest reasons why California is on fire is because of policies Arnold put in place a year ago that we are still suffering from today. Jackass absolutely destroyed the municipal power, electric, and gas municipal sector of California, and handed it all to a goddamn private company.

And he’ll do the same thing with the United States. Every single fucking actor that becomes politician hands, another municipal sector to a private company. The only exception has been JFK.

Can you clarify what you mean by “If Donald gets to run a third time”?

6

u/Existing_Charity_818 8d ago

Donald Trump is currently trying to find or create a loophole that will allow him to run for president a third time

1

u/Thekingbee21h 8d ago

Ah gotcha, I must’ve missed that in the news. I’m not super politically invested, thank you.

Well if you are from the US, definitely take that kind of thing into consideration when deciding who or what party to support

I think there was a campaign to allow naturalised citizens to run but Dems opposed the amendment at the time in the naughties because they knew Arnie would be a phenomenal opponent
