if you have to buy a second hand 2 decade old piece of hardware for games this old isnt accessible. and im not sure what the price of a gc is nowadays but 225 dollars needed to play a 2 decade old game is insane
Yeah if the choice between paying premium official prices or premium collector prices... I'm gonna use a rom and an emulator. I personally own an N64, Gamecube, Wii, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and a PC with a variety of games for both, I'm still gonna pirate and emulate because these consoles and games are all aging and degrading faster than we think, and I can play every single game from all of these catalogues on my easily replaceable pc, it's a no brainer for anyone actually interested in playing these games long term.
