Idiot driver illegally passes school bus and nearly runs over kid.

I’m confused. Why isn’t the bus pulled over on the right? There shouldn’t be room for a car to pass there.

Maybe this is regional, but here the busses pull all the way over and the kids get off who live on that side of the street.

There's a bus on my route that has to make an immediate left after a stop on a two-lanes-each-way road, and that driver will get into the right lane and stop diagonally across both. I've always found that to be both amusing and smart.
