Do these trains not have horns? Engineer should have just held that shit down the second this guy started taking his time to walk to his car.

That just punishes everyone who lives in the area and has to listen to the horn. The driver should pay a heavy fine

Why not both?

They explained it. The driver is in a fairly sound-proof booth. Everyone else in the area isn't.

His booth is sound proof? That doesn't sound safe or make sense

They're referring to the car, not the tram.

Exactly, car design is, in some aspects, very inefficient and makes very little sense... For example, from a space efficiency standpoint, and from an environmental standpoint...

Some features are unsafe too, such as the sound proof driver's booth.

Edit: Made it make sense since I was sleepy when I wrote this.

It's about shaming him

But what my ears and all the animals that don't want to hear that shit

That's great, but also very damaging to the eardrums of everyone standing next to or walking past the tram. Sounds like an absolutely smart idea.

If he was capable of feeling shame he wouldn't have blocked the tram in the first place

We don’t care about them

It would only be for a couple minutes. I think the driver should be shamed and heavily fined.

I live by a light rail, they have horns

horns are for emergencies, not to broadcast your annoyment to the world.

Horn for five seconds.

Then the paintballs.

Punishes...? My god, that's a premier first world complaint if I've ever heard one. Life happens. The horn exists to communicate with other drivers. I am sure you can muster the courage to tough on through a few seconds of horn honking without demanding the person pay a fine for having the gall to upset you.

Y'all are so worried about what you want and how comfortable you are that you can't even consider the possibility of publicly reprimanding someone, because it would disturb your precious peace. Like, nah, just let them be a dick, as long as you're happy and content... Don't forget to send out fines to police and EMS for using their sirens + horns to communicate with other drivers.

Idk if you watched the video or what but it said the car was left there for a full 10 minutes. Nobody should have to listen to a tram horn for 10 minutes especially if this happens frequentlyin this area. And the horn does nothing to punish the driver. It's not even a reprimand. They don't care. For illegally blocking the tram with his car for 10 minutes this guy absolutely deserves a heavy fine

Don’t care. Not everyone gets to live a life without issues.

8

u/WhipMeHarder 1d ago

“let’s make extra issues for no fucking reason”

why?

u/rixilef 1d ago

Depends where it is. The do have bells in Czechia and they are pretty loud.

3

u/No-Article-Particle 21h ago

Dude in Czechia, the tram drivers fucking hammer that bell button as soon as you as much as hint at taking 0.2s longer than what they deem acceptable.

I think these have bells too. There's not much difference between a Skoda 03T from Brno and this Skoda 10T seen here.

They do. All of the time lay on the horn. I know that train and location. South Waterfront Portland Oregon. I hear it regularly.

That’s what I was thinking!
