My university is replacing the graduation announcer with an AI announcer

Students have to scan a qr code for their name to be read by the ai voice 🤦 and yes this is the same school that put a girl on academic probation/suspension for using grammarly.

knowing ai now, i will not be surprised if it pronounces EVERY SINGLE non-american name wrong

I’ve heard AI mispronounce “Zachary.”

I have zero faith in it getting half the names right.
