My university is replacing the graduation announcer with an AI announcer

Students have to scan a qr code for their name to be read by the ai voice 🤦 and yes this is the same school that put a girl on academic probation/suspension for using grammarly.

Using something they crack down on students for is crazy work. I don't know it all that well, but wouldn't that be going against their own policy? So if a student is on probation for "using" AI and they go through with this at graduation, could that be fought to have students taken off probation/suspension?? I'm genuinely confused

Yeah if I was the student suspended I would totally be involving some news outlets and lawyers with this.

Did she ever update with the result of her hearing? The last I heard she was getting in touch with a lawyer like a year ago and I couldn't find any further info

Iirc it turns out she full on used chatgpt and did not have a case, this could just be a rumor though
