I messaged them on Instagram, we'll see if that works. I can't tell if these are burnt, or if it's oil from rollers or something. The salt is on top of the stripes though, so you're probably right.
Also is your username a reference to that Orb track?

My username is a play on the fact that I used to work in cloud computing, and I always wanted to be a storm chaser.

Nice sentiment but I assume Cloudz likes to be able to eat and live in a home. Stormchasers are hobbies, very few make a 'living' off that.
