Corey Craig’s Customer Service

Came across this post on FB and thought I’d share as by far NB has the worst most disgusting Tim Hortons I’ve ever been to. This customer complained about her drink so they trespassed her from their stores.

Original post below.

What is this?! (Update used a magnet confirmed metal) ⚠️TIM HORTONS⚠️ Caramel iced cap, it’s not coffee grains or anything. It’s like sparkly!!?! I took a few drinks and found it tasted really weird, not like caramel at all. Tim Hortons Corey Craig Group Called the manager at the richibucto location.. he asked me to text him pictures and he’d call me back. He said it’s frozen ice and didn’t happen to anyone else and then hung up on me while I was saying that’s unacceptable !!!

*updates video with a magnet!!! It IS metal like I told them!!! Sent to the district manager (march 26)

**another update (march 27) district manager is still dismissing it as being metal and saying they’re not responsible once it leaves the restaurant & that it didn’t happen to anyone else and provided me with their internal auditors number. I still have the half drank melted ice cap and it is not ice as they keep saying!!! It’s metal that I ingested!! Not stopping until I get answers.

timhortonscanada #richibucto

**UPDATE (april 4th) Karen woodman the internal auditor asked me to stop posting until we knew more because she was on my side and would have the iced cap tested.. well here’s the update!!!! On April 1st they took place of the iced cap to get tested. Yesterday she replied that she would have “results today” and they issue me a NO TRESPASS at 13 locations because they got rid of my evidence!!!! I’ve attached the letters & convos with this Karen woodman who on the phone told me I should get blood work done for the metals and that she was on my side and would test it, had me bring it to the bouctouche Tim’s!!! INSANE!!!!

The food inspector went last week 4 days after the metal iced cap was served to me and found their machine clean.. lots of time to get rid of what they did!!! I told the inspector I didn’t want to hand my evidence over to them and he said they weren’t equipped with anywhere to do testing for it and said I could give it to them to test.

WHAT ARE YOU HIDING TIM HORTONS????? Serving toxic heavy metals to people, telling them you’ll help and have it tested and get to the bottom of it and then serve a no trespass letter!!!!!😡😡😡😡

*last attached photo is the almost week old iced cap on April 1st when they had me bring it to the bouctouche location.

For everyone asking what the red thing is.. it’s my straw.

Rant: Why Are We Still Paying 5% Commission? Big Realtors and their agencies Have Formed a Syndicate and Are Controlling the Market.

Can we talk about how completely broken the real estate system is in Canada—especially the commission structure? We’re still expected to pay 5% (or more) in commission to real estate agents just to list a home and handle some paperwork. In 2025. In an era where most buyers find homes online, sign electronically, and do their own research. What are we actually paying for?

It feels like the big-name agents and brokerages have formed an unofficial syndicate. They dominate MLS listings, control the comparable sale prices, price properties however they want, and then act as gatekeepers to the market. If you try to do a private sale, good luck getting real visibility—they’ve made sure the system is stacked against you.

They keep commissions high, freeze out competition, and manipulate supply and pricing to protect their cut. And they do it all while pretending to work in your best interest. But let’s be real: a 5% commission on a $500,000 home is $25,000. For what? Hosting a few open houses, uploading to MLS, and signing some paperwork?

In other industries, tech has driven costs down. But in real estate, the same old players are clinging to a bloated, outdated system because it’s insanely profitable—for them.

Buyers and sellers are the ones footing the bill while these agents cash out. It’s time we started asking real questions: Why isn’t there more transparency? Why can’t we choose à la carte services? Why are commissions still fixed like it’s the 1990s?

This isn’t just a broken system—it’s an anti-competitive cartel.

Sorry for the rant. Just tired of watching regular people get squeezed while the system protects itself.

Westie Walk

Post image

Do you have a West Highland Terrier or know someone that does? I’m interested in organizing an annual Westie Walk in Saint John like the ones held in Vancouver, Victoria and elsewhere. Maybe June? It would be great to get everyone together for a walk. Perhaps activities and prizes another year if it works out. Pass the word and let me know if there’s interest.

Brian MacDonald helped sell NB some magic beans. While Higgs/Vitalite bought the beans, imagine what this lobbyist will do if he has a say with our tax dollars?

We got screwed by the company he lobbied for!

How do classes differ by grade level and how much freedom do teachers have over the curriculum?

I moved here from Quebec in grade 10. I am thinking of doing a Bachelor of Education to be a teacher so I am trying to understand more about what being a teacher is like in New Brunswick.

In my past schools in Quebec, until 6th grade, students were all in the same classroom and taught by the same teacher except for gym, music/art, and english courses. In those other classes, we were with the same students, just with a different teacher. In 7th grade and above, we had a different teacher for each class. There, schools were separated in primary and secondary. In New Brunswick though, they are separated by elementary, middle school, and high school. Looking at Bachelor of Education programs, there are two streams: elementary and secondary. I am essentially wonder how teaching differs between school types and grade levels (like, which grade levels include teaching multiple subjects? or having different groups of kids?).

I am also wondering about the teacher's level of freedom over the curriculum. From what I understand, certain competencies need to be met, but the way that the teacher gets the students to reach those competencies (like assignments) depends on the teacher? Or are they given the assignments and learning plans that they have to give and teach to students? I am also wondering if teachers get a say on certain topics that are taught. For example, if a class is ahead in history or science, can the teacher decide to teach an additional topic and decide what that topic is as long as its appropriate for the grade level?

Modular Vs Stick Build Home Builders: Experiences and Companies

Hello,

I'm looking at building a house (1600-1700 sq ft bungalow with side walk out basement) in the next two year since we finally purchase a large parcel of land this past winter. Im trying to figure out if we should build modular or stick built. We designed our own plan (which is modular compatible) so the process of finding the perfect home builder for us is what we need to do next.

Has anyone on here built a modular home? If so, what was your experience? would you do it again? what company did you build with?

Modular companies we are/ have looked into include prestige (too few options available, no custom build option, have to select from plans then modify), ironwood/Vincent Homes (based in SJ, custom built modular option), Supreme Homes (based in Fredricton, custom built modular option)

Has anyone build the traditional stick build route? If so, what was your experience? would you do it again? what company did you build with? We have yet to look at any traditional building companies but would like to know the best companies to contact to get a quote.

Lastly, Any tips & advice for things you missed out on doing, regret getting/doing or not getting/ doing would be great to know.

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Mail in voting is open. It's a valid & easy option to vote in this election. Here's how to do it.

I'm very limited in how I can help out due to disability. So I'm making this post to let folks who might not be aware, know about the option to vote by mail. It's very easy and takes very little effort. It takes all of a few minutes to sign up at this address:

https://www.elections.ca/voting-by-mail

I received mine about 3 or 4 days later in the mail. You fill out your ballot by writing the name of who you vote for in your riding. If you're not sure of what riding your in type in your postal code here and it will tell you:

https://www.elections.ca/scripts/vis/FindED?L=e&PAGEID=20

If you don't already know the name of who's running for your party of choice, use this list to find your riding and the proper spelling and name of whom you want to vote for.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/federal-election-candidates-new-brunswick-2025-1.7491682

Once filled out, you place the ballot into "Envelope A". Place "Envelope A" into "Envelope B". Sign and date the front of "Envelope B". And place that into "Envelope C". Then drop it in any mail box and you're done. You have just voted in our next election and you didn't even have to get dressed up or wait in line.

This next election could very well be one of the most important elections of our life time. It could dictate the future of this country for a long time to come. Please, even if you don't normally vote, get out and vote. The world is in a very difficult place right now and we can't let the bad guys win. I HIGHLY recommend looking at the following site https://smartvoting.ca/ to see how the projections are looking in your riding. It will help make sure you're not throwing away your vote by putting it behind a party that has no chance of winning in your area. Please share this post and information with other friends and family you know. We need a high turn out. Don't let yourself become complacent like they did in the US and just assume other people will vote. That's how they got who they got down there and the world has been paying for it since.

Good luck. Please Vote.

Selling a vehicle privately on weekends

I'm selling a vehicle privately. Buyer wants to pick it up tomorrow (Saturday). Obviously snb is closed and they won't be able to do the registration. He wants me to sign the registration and says he'll do it Monday, as his uncle is a dealer. Would you do this. I've never let a vehicle leave without seeing the registration is changed over before. He seems like a nice guy but I don't want to get screwed over months from now when I find out it hasn't been changed.

Anyone else struggling to find work?

I got laid off unexpectedly the end of January. I’ve applied to at least 20 job postings, mostly in my city and a few were remote. I’ve only heard back from 2, both were No’s saying they hired internally.

I have over 20 years professional experience but it’s been a struggle. Is this because of tariffs? Or so many people are looking? This is so discouraging.
