The fact they’re still around is surprising.

I know some of it is people bringing their suspected gay kids to get adult women to flirt with them to attempt to make them straight. Luckily the women are on the kids' side though.

Original title of the article when I read it last week was "How Hooters Became a Refuge for Young Gay Men" but I see they changed it now.

Damn that's messed up. Imagine the inverse - taking your straight daughter to Hooters, trying to turn her lesbian.

The people who need to hear that comparison will never think of it as the same thing.

They actually consider gay men to be way worse then lesbian women

Probably  something to do with "squandered" reproduction potential or something. A man could in theory impregnate so many women during the 9 months a woman takes to make 1 baby.

To be clear, these aren't my views. I just know it's a mindset some people have.

No it's much simpler than that. Gay men are seen as 'weak', and weak men are bad. Lesbians are women therefore already 'weak' so it doesn't affect them. Also 2 girls kissing is hot so that helps

Not to mention... are these parents just setting up camp there? Exactly how long do they think it'll take to turn their kids straight at a restaurant? They better be buying something every other hour, or else you get the door instead of the table...

Those people think that's already happening by gay parents who adopt kids and try to abuse them into being gay. It's all projection and phobia.
