NY needs to take this step

Seems like the first step in an economic decoupling of the US.

Yeah, New England (minus NH), NY, NJ, MD, DE, IL, the west coast, MN, CO nd NM.

I'd bring New Hampshire along just because it would make more sense to bring it rather than leave it. The logistical aspect is the most crucial reasoning, but it's also a few billion more.

We condition their admittance on allowing MBTA service into the state.

That's fair enough. I say the end goal should be to create faster by rail travel through the North East

I'm 1,000% supportive of that.

It's 2025 it shouldn't take as long as it would to get from Buffalo to Boston by rail.

100%. It takes 5 hours to get to Albany from Buffalo by train...

The state really needs to get on constructing the improvements to the route and adding the third track between Schenectady and Buffalo, with the fourth park in some areas.

Which is ridiculous, it really shouldn't take me three hours by train to get to Albany from Syracuse

Yup. Just simply getting a dedicated third track would cut down travel times immensely, as there wouldn't be delays by freight trains.

Exactly, I've been saying it for a few years now, third tracks and light rail would be 2 projects that would help immensely

We have light rail here in Buffalo. Needs expanded.

Yeah, I'd love light rail in Syracuse. Especially if it connected to Auburn and Cortland.

BRT is a good start. Especially with potential population increases from Micron, could set the stage for more rapid transit. Are they doing two routes or three? It was originally two, and then they added a third last year, but I saw an article from Centro this year that only referenced two routes.
