Are we surprised?

The US federal government only exists on paper. If the Constitution is nullified by the actions of a autocratic dictator and his army of billionaire oligarchs, then the Union itself becomes nullified. The Constitution isn't an a la carte menu, it's either all to be respected or none of it is.
