Considering how much agriculture and manufacturing actually come out of California, this would have a substantial impact on the rest of the US. The California gdp is as much as in the top 5 gdp's in the world.

This probably cost them less than the equivalent of on F35. Spent all these billions on aircraft carriers and shit when we could have just bribed their politicians. Look at their return on investment bribing one idiot.
