Splitting off sounds scary. I already hear a lot of people around me in CA saying they want out, even if it means being very vulnerable to invasion/serious retaliation. I think we're forgetting that we've been trending red, too. A lot of turmoil would come from inside (if this snowballs into something very serious).

Imo the state would likely be in major peril without some big friends taking some very firm stances to be on our side. But if international (and fellow states) begin to make moves, who knows. Definitely gonna be following these developments closely.

I think we're forgetting that we've been trending red, too.

In California, the Republican party has lower voter registration than No Party Preference. Californians are not happy with the Republican party as a whole.
