Trump claims to be all about states’ rights when it benefits him (overturning Roe v Wade) but then loves to impose rules and punish states that defy him. Anyone saying they support Trump because they believe in states’ rights is a liar or a fool.

Don't forget that they want to "give education back to the states" while also making spurious, possibly illegal and incredibly vague demands of states on what they can and can't do if they want to keep receiving federal education funds. Also, "give education back to the states" is an incredibly dumb statement that shows that they have no fucking clue what they're talking about, not that they care.

Also, I hope they really turn the screws on deep-red Mississippi, the state most dependent on federal education dollars as a percentage of their overall education spending - actually, South Dakota just edges them out by 0.4%. Nevertheless, both are just under 20% while reliably blue states Illinois, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York are all under 8%, in declining order. That's right, New York is the lowest in the country at 4.6%.

All those red state welfare queens 🙄
