Trump claims to be all about states’ rights when it benefits him (overturning Roe v Wade) but then loves to impose rules and punish states that defy him. Anyone saying they support Trump because they believe in states’ rights is a liar or a fool.

They are the same people unironically touting the line that the Civil War was about states' rights and not slavery, so it is pretty clear that they have no idea what the words mean. They are parrots repeating phrases for peanuts.
