Remember when Biden held funding from red states because they didn’t agree with him.

……oh wait that didn’t happen

It didn’t. But they accused him of it. A preemptive confession of what they would do.

Had some rabble rouser telling me this bullshit just yesterday. That it was Biden and Harris still withholding money to South Carolina.

their stupidity made me just stop talking and move on....

The thing that happened in South Carolina is that boots on the ground fema groups were advised to avoid certain areas with roving bands of assholes claiming to be hunting fema.

And the person who did that was fired for the right reason. The presidential administration had nothing to do with that decision and it was wrong and they allowed the individual to be fired.

That was North Carolina.

It’s a combination of two stories. In North Carolina, right-wing extremists showed up and at least one of them spoke of “hunting FEMA.” This disrupted operations for several days and led to a lot of confusion and panic. The second story was out of Florida, where a FEMA team leader advised her staff to avoid houses with Trump paraphernalia. She was promptly fired.

Yes, not South Carolina.

Not disagreeing, just clarifying because of other comments in this same thread that seem to be conflating the two separate stories.

I get ya. Thanks. I have certainly heard the stories conflated as well. So much false info out there.

The irony being that Biden wanted to send more aid but the Republican congress withheld the funding to make him look bad.

You should have told them DOGE cut FEMA.
