We got lucky. Was only February my husband informed our AD he wanted this for our 10th wedding anniversary gift for me. His Root Beer had arrived then.

I love it, fell in love with this model when I tried on the pre-owned during the holidays when we visited our AD. Now I’m eyeing the lavender 36mm OP from the new release since my name is in the color family.

I’m planning to purchase a Daytona this year, maybe in the next month or so. I can’t decide between these three models (all in white SS):

116520 - I like that it’s non ceramic and maybe flies under the radar. A price point of $19-20K in the grey market is also attractive. I think I would feel a lot more comfortable wearing it instead of a $30K timepiece.

116500 - Love the black subdials compared to the 116520. I think it makes it pop a lot more. Only $5-7K more expensive than the 116520. I do have some concerns that the black subdials are a little too thick, but overall I could definitely live with it.

126500 - I tried this one on in person at my local Rolex dealer and man it’s pretty sweet. The subdials and case proportion look really good. I do prefer it over the 116500, just looks a lot better.

Here’s my dilemma: a family member gifted me $20K. If I get the 126500, I’ll have to dip (roughly $13K) into my personal funds. I suppose I don’t mind doing that because if my local dealer offered me the 126500 I would pay retail without thinking about it. But is a watch really worth $30K?

What would you guys do and why?

I’m also open to going black dial. Curious what everyone thinks between the white and the black dial.

Does anyone wear chains or bracelets with their watches? Do they rent to scratch a lot? Tah!

Went on wait lists with 2 ADs (one I have minor history with) in October 2024, for an Explorer 2. Not that hard of a watch to get. I had an upcoming milestone event I wanted to get it by for February/March 2025. Checked in regularly with both, with one saying it will be soon, and the other being non-committal.

In February 2025, decided to go a little farther away and check with another AD. Ended up getting the call to come get my new watch in 3 WEEKS! Picked it up last month.

I probably should let the 2 other Ads know to take me off their list, but at this point I am really curious how long they expect me to wait. Call, or wait and see?

Hello All. Since i cant fine a therapist who specializes in watch purchases, im airing it out to anyone willing to provide advice. I really wanted to get a submariner. I've been wearing a Tudor North Flag daily for 9-10 years. I'm totally sold on Rolex quality, but I want to move up. I have 4 hours left in Rome, but live in the US. I wanted to spend around 10k, but can go more technically. Given tariffs and the price increase, should I just grab an Omega before I leave and move on with life? Wife is super not interested in building a relationship with an AD, she buys her jewelry online. Been on a couple wait lists for 8 months, but if I still have to spend 14-16k Msrp while grey market prices around 13, is it even worth it? Doubting my life goals.

I know it’s steel we are talking about but can putting a watch very tightly fitted on the pillow (does not move one bit or have any room between the pillow and braclet) cause any issues over time?

Waited a little past 3 years, spend history includes the Speedy Racing pictured here, several straps and jewelry. This was my first Rolex from this boutique. I feel blessed, this is my favorite Rolex of all time.

I can’t stop staring at it, in disbelief that it’s finally mine. I don’t even feel like wearing it now, treating it like a museum exhibit and just open the box to admire it and then put it away.

Part of the reason I’m not wearing it yet is that I will be applying PPF to preserve the hyper polished condition. Only started collecting a year ago so I’m still a novice and like to keep my options open to eventually remove the stickers and give my watches more character, lol. I go with the Watchshells product out of Korea, applied it to my SD43 and Sub Date already and loving it.

I love the Tudor Royal in 38MM with a black dial. I also think it hasn't gotten the praise it deserves. This watch came out in 2020 when it was virtually shadow dropped by Tudor and it doesn't appear in many marketing materials.

With the Land-Dweller already out, I think it's time to talk about the watch. What do you think?

I am being gifted a Rolex as a wedding gift from my fiancé’s family and I am trying to decide between a worn hulk (with box and warranty card) or a unworn sprite with oyster bracelet (with box and warranty card). Both watches will be at the resale market and a similarly priced.

For more information: - I am a left hander that wears my watches on the right hand -I currently have a Tudor black bay 41 (in black) and Cartier santos (large) in my collection -I will be wearing the watch mainly over the weekends (not very appropriate for my workplace)

Seems to be a lot of focus on the land dweller and tiffany dial oysterflex, as well as the green YG daytona, but pretty surprised these being brought back hasn't captured more attention.

Finally after several visits with rolex stores in Germany and Netherlands . A small Rolex store in Antwerp Belgium was able to sell a Rolex to us.. my GF and I was very lucky and happy at the same time.
