Politics Saskatchewan has once again opened the SINP program. SK has once again caved in infront off fraud employers and immigration agents.
Sk party has again started SINP progran which was put of hold due to -ive public sentiment. This directly effects every household with kids looking for part time jobs or summer jobs. The employers have again started charging upwards of 60k for SINP papers. It seems its been only done to collect donations for elections and maybe some votes. This program has created a big network for fraudulent job ad on saskjobs, indeed etc. its the only reason when you apply at more the 100 jobs and dont get a single reply and then job gets filled. Do ask your local party politician about this when he knocks your door for the first time in 4-5 yrs after getting elected.

Old STC Schedules or Timetables
Hey y'all! I'm a urban planning student from Calgary, and I'm starting to think about my Master's thesis. I've got a couple ideas, and one of them had to do with the Saskatchewan Transportation Company. I was wondering, partly for my research and partly out of just curiosity, if anybody knows where I could track down schedules, timetables, or any similar materials from the STC before it shut down. I've tried looking both online and in my university's library, but I can't find much.
Thanks in advance if you've got anything of note!

Voting: Worthwhile, even if your chosen party has no chance.
While I have always voted, and usually for a losing side, I learned something in our most recent provincial election. If your candidate loses, but receives a certain percentage of the vote, they are eligible to have some of their campaign expenditures refunded.
This means that even if you feel like voting in your riding is hopeless, that it will automatically go to a different party than you hope for, as long as you show up and cast your vote, you will be putting your party of choice in a better position for the next election, as they could potentially have more cash on hand in order to fight future battles.

Good diner outside of Saskatoon
I'm in Saskatoon for business, and since nights on business are usually pretty boring, I like to drive a good distance in the evening to get something to eat. Hit me with your suggestions of a small town diner I should visit, probably max 1.5 hrs outside of Saskatoon

Saskatoon wellness bus ready to roll this week
The wellness bus, which will operate from 1- 7 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, will be located primarily on Morse Road near the old farmer's market off 19th Street.
A community wellness bus, set to start running in Saskatoon on Wednesday, will provide basic primary care as well as mental health and addictions services.
The bus, the third of its kind in the province after Prince Albert and Regina, will make it easier to get care to the people who need it the most, particularly those who have difficulty getting to a primary care clinic, says Kelly Tokarchuk, executive director of primary health care at the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
"Having an option that is really located closer to them in their community … having the services from Wednesday to Sunday and into the evening hours, we really feel we'll meet the needs of the people that need us the most," Tokarchuk said.

Restricted Drivers License
I messed up with my driving record and thankfully was granted a Restricted Drivers License. Has anyone had one of these before? What kind of special provisions can you get to drive? I realize for work purposes to get to and from, but what about family obligations? I am the only one out of my wife and I that has a License, would I be able to get a provision to drive for family obligations like medical appointments or to get groceries and what not?

Politics Provincial renter callout
Hey everyone! I'm a reporter with CBC Saskatoon and I'm working on a federal election story focusing on what renters here in the province are looking for. What's driving you to the polls? How has renting been going? How affordable or not affordable is rent... and life right now? How difficult or easy is it finding housing? Do you want to own a home/can you? What if any policy are you hoping to see?
Please email me at [liam.oconnor@cbc.ca](mailto:liam.oconnor@cbc.ca) and I'd love to talk more about this.
Cheers,
Liam

Candidates for Saskatchewan (April 7)
All spots for major parties filled, (today) April 7th is the deadline for candidates to have their name submitted. u/Renegade_August pointed out the website votewell.ca to help figure out strategic voting for your riding (if you're into that thing. Not teling anyone how to vote since that needs to be said I guess).

Internet at the lake
In the past we’ve used Starlink at the lake. This year, for obvious reasons, we’re looking for options. What internet provider do you use over the summer at the lake? North of Saskatoon.
