Why the new government haven't punished the former Assad war criminals yet ?
People who ask why they haven't punished the war criminals who did the coast massacres yet, well they haven't even punished Assadist criminals yet for them to reach that point.
I think the issue is that they are trying to do fair trials as much as possible, and because of that they are trying to build a court system from the ground and not rely on Assadists judges to do that, because they are building from the ground up it will take plenty of time to find qualified judges and other court workers.
They could have gone full execution and retribution campaign on any former SAA soldiers who was accused of doing war crimes, but that wouldn't look good on international stage.
At the same time if the longer they don't punish criminals , the more revenge killings cases increases ,like today two former SAA got assassinated by unknowns in Aleppo, which undermines the state.

Do you think at some Shara would just cut off Sweida from the rest of Syria ?
For a province that have no natural resources or anything value, it sure seems to bring a lot of unnecessary troubles.
With constant local Miltias that refuse to integrate yet still demand services and some of the Miltias are Proxies of Israel.
This province somehow is a lot more troubling than the SDF who is cooperating and slowly working things out, the Druze are more difficult to negotiate with as they never seem to have a clear demands and one of their High elders Hijiri constantly rejects anything the government dose yet offers no alternative most of the time.
At some point he will either have to invade Sweida and crack on the Druze but that has the risk of Israeli invasion, the second most likely outcome is abandon this province, cut everything from them, he just goes "Have your autonomy" and cuts them off, no more salaries, no more electricity from the rest of Syria and no other government services, nobody comes and goes past security lines from Sweida.
Because this province has no natural resources and not even a proper border crossing with Jordan, they wont survive and the tons of Miltias they build up so far will fight eachother for influence.

Former Member of the Council of Representatives of Iraq Faiq Al Sheikh Ali: Ahmed Al-Sharaa broke the Shiite crescent forever but he must be careful!
He also says when asked if Shara and HTS will remain controling in Syria: Me as Libera and Secular man who is against political Islam, obviously I'm against the Islamist rulers in Syria, Political Islam is a failure not Islam as a religion but political Islam regardless of it's Sunni or Shia, I hope they don't follow the footsteps of the Socialist Bath who kept sole political authority to them and never allowed the formation of any political parties, I hope Shara government allows the formation of different political parties in Syria, in the end I blame the previous rulers for the situation we see in the area, Bashar, his father Havez and Saddam, banned any opposition and political parties and this issue now carries over to Syria and Iraq.

Editorialized After that Druze woman who got arrested and her group for attempting to cross into SDF territory, when she made interesting claims about the "Harem" Prisons in Idlib, SOHR is comparing this prison to Sedanya
Some of the claims like women baring children inside the prisons and other ridiculous claims like Israeli and Iranian women being imprisoned there.
This all nonsense since her group got arrested in Homs and then released just 3 hours later after negotiations with the Druze Miltias in Sweida, Harem prison which is all the north in Idlib is at least 2 hours drive from Homs, the chances that she reached Harem prison is nonexistent.
And the fact that SOHR is using her ridiculous claims destroys his credibility even further.
Harem prison is notorious for holding ISIS and Huras Al Din members when there was an internal conflict in Idlib that HTS managed to win.
