Leave at least one comment as feedback for someone else before you post a track looking for feedback. If you do not, your post will be deleted.
If you post first, wait for somebody else to post, then give feedback. Comment on posts that haven't received feedback yet. Report or call out any people that have posted their track without first providing feedback.

I cannot seem to make samples work! I have no problem looping them or fitting to bpm or anything, I just cant seem to build off of the sample. Even if I chop it or pitch it different or whatever. No matter what I try to put on top of it whether it be drums or melody nothing seems to sound right. Everything just sounds like it doesn't work or doesn't belong? (hard to explain)
Wondering if anyone has advice on how to build off of a sample? How to turn it into a full beat?

Whatās up guys, I posted on here a little while ago asking for alternates to future type beats, but ultimately decided to stick with that after lots of research. At the start of my channel I wasnāt doing bad, averaging about 30-60 views, which is nothing special but I havenāt been able to get above 10 views in the last week and a half. No idea whatās going on. Would appreciate if someone could take a look at my channel Iād appreciate that. if my beats suck just tell me straight up. In my opinion they stack up with most of the big names. Any help is appreciated thank you guys.

Iām trying to find a song of his. At the beginning thereās a sound effect thatās like from street fighter or maybe another video game. It sounds like heās saying āgoā or maybe itās no? It sounds like a male voice, itās a low pitch. I think itās on his 05 fuck em mixtape. Anyone know this off hand?

Recently my channel has been getting a lot more traction, but I haven't sold anything recently?? When my channel was smaller I was getting atleast a sale a week (still not amazing). Now I feel like I sell nothing. I offer both traktrain and beatstars links, and traktrain sells a lot more, in fact I haven't sold from beatstars in 2 months. I really enjoy this and I don't do it for the money, but it is discouraging to see my sales go down like this. If anyone has any suggestions on how to sell again or maybe even how to start DMing artists on insta I would really appreciate, honestly the extra money from this was helping me a bit.
Also not promo or anything but my channel is TheaXO(@thea.beatss) if anyone has suggestions on how to improve to entice more artists to buy my stuff! Thanks!

Hey, I'm D-FlexX, I'm 16 years old and I'm just starting out in music. I don't have anything recorded yet, but I'm working on my first songs and I want someone to help me shape them, with mixing, autotune, etc.
I'm looking for a producer who wants to collaborate with me from the beginning, for free. I just want someone to lend a hand while we create something nice. If things progress well, we would start working with money.
Additionally, everyone who collaborates with me will be mentioned on my social networks (Instagram).
If you are interested, answer me here. Thanks for reading!

So recently, I've started to soft clip and saturate my drums to give them more life and make them knock harder. For my soft clipper, I use Logic Pro's Overdrive plug-in with the drive all the way to 0, the tone all the way to 20k Hz, and I play around with the output and for saturation, I use the Softube Saturation Knob and I keep it between low and neutral depending on the track. I know both share a similar purpose but is it common for producers to use both or should I only use one as opposed to the other? Would it be redundant to use both?

What are some great tutorials on basics of trap music?
It seems there are a lot of tutorials for specific type beats but not that much when it comes to music theory and characteristics of trap music
Feel free to send me links in DMs

So, I'm trying to learn more about beats and learning how to make beats and right now my only source is YouTube. I have FL Studio with me and I'm using DAW, I'm using the FL Studio as a DAW and I'm actually inspired by a Pop Smoke type of beat. I do not know what sort of beat it is but I think it should, if I had to guess, it should be a drill type of a beat, if I'm not mistaken, and I want to make beats like that just for fun and more of understanding for the music. Been using YouTube and Googling stuff but turns out that I have to use the plugins and the plugins are very expensive and I'm a student. I really cannot afford those expensive plugins and I have only the fruity edition with me of the FL Studio. So, I really want to know the basics and want to learn the principles behind learning beat and the snares and hi-hat, like what are the elements of the beat and melody and everything about it. So, can you please guide me?

Hi all, new ''producer'' here, did start about a year ago i think, no prior musical knowledge but always loved music! Did learn watching youtube video mostly, did try Drill/Trap, was unsure if it was for no, did not seems that complex but unsure about the vibe, if i was enjoying it. Now trying Boombap, i find that the vibe is more what i like doing, how did you guys figured out your genre? Was it based solely on your interest or the music you like or there was some technical points too? I got Serato Samples like a week ago and it changed my process a lot, here is my 2nd boombap beat everĀ https://youtu.be/OiymUBFobW4?si=1k_B236kHLu4fTWcĀ now i am trying to find if i want to stick to a genre or try to do multiple genre, would like your input and how you work too

Yo! Iām stuck between two monitor options for my home setup and could really use your input: ā¢ KRK Rokit 5 Generation 5 ā¢ Adam Audio T7V
I mainly produce trap, rage, and 808-heavy stuff, sometimes with guitar melodies and ambient textures. My room is pretty small, about 10ā12 mĀ², and Iāll be sitting around 1 meter from the monitors. Some light treatment on the walls.
I know the Rokits are fun to produce on, have DSP features and that classic KRK vibe, but Iāve also heard the T7Vs are way more accurate and detailed ā especially in the highs due to the ribbon tweeters.
What do you guys think? Has anyone A/Bād both? Which one gives you better results for mixing/making bangers with heavy low end?
Any help would be fire ā I really donāt wanna drop cash and regret it later. Thanks in advance!

I've been playing piano for roughly 5 - 6 years and I have improved a lot, from learning classical pieces to learning some of the jazz standards the traditional way (w/ sheets and a teacher). However, I always wanted to get better at improvising chord progressions because when I try to come up with a bunch of chords they end up sounding messy and out of scale. Across all my years playing I have figured out there is no "secret formula" on learning anything from scratch but I wanted to ask you if there are any tricks or tips for making this process quicker. I also wanted to know if there are any online courses that cover the topic!

As a trap beat producer would I be wasting my time trying to resurface the old school lex Luger trap sound? The kind of beats that waka flocka, chief keef, Rick Ross, etc rapped on? Can it be revived or is it dead
r/trapproduction • u/Willing_Wrangler_242 • 2d ago
So recently I made a big sale on a beat and wanted to re-invest my money in buying promotional campaigns through different platforms such as Instagram ads or Beatstars promotion. Is it worth it or I should just keep the money?

Iām thinking about upgrading my interface since itās the only part of my studio that i havenāt upgraded in the past few years. Itās a Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. I use Yamaha HS8s and FL studio and the reason Iām questioning the decision is because i donāt record live instruments or vocals and donāt plan on it either. Everything i do is on the PC i use VSTs in the DAW. As far as sound quality goes would it really be worth the upgrade to an SSL, apogee or Apollo interface (just some examples)? If so, what would you recommend?

Hey everyone, Iāve been making beats since 2014 as a hobby. Now Iām trying to better understand how artists go about buying beats and see where things can be improved. If youāre a rapper (or even a singer) who buys beats online or from producers, Iād love to interview you!
We can do this however you preferāI can send you a few quick questions to answer, or we can hop on a short call. Totally up to you. In return Iāll send you 5 beats you can use royalty free!
If youāre down, DM me! Appreciate yāall! š
