Tron has a strong place in my heart, specially after earning it's place in my childhood. i love the world of tron and the movie legacy but i never got to see the series. i guess one of my issues is the animation? idk the art style looks weird but if the series is any good i'm willing to give it a shot

Took it upon myself to replace all the matching shots from the old trailer with their updated counterparts.

I am so ready for this new take on Tron. I have watched Tron Legacy and the original so many times I can't even count. it has gotten to the point where it is boring for me. Don't get me wrong, I still love Tron and everything about it, but I am so ready for something new. I am totally digging this trailer and everything in it. I love the darker tone shown in this trailer and how obscure everything from the grid feels. I think we will get some fantastic action sequences in this movie, and as for Jared Leto, I think he will do fine for his role as Ares. I have faith that the people who worked to make this movie know how special Tron is. Especially Leto.

Some of you might have seen my previous custom identity disk and now I want to try to make the new one before the movie comes out but I don’t have a lot of sources to go from so please if you have pictures or anything feel free to help me out

Honestly I’m still a lot worried especially since he’s the director of pirates of Caribbean 5 and malificent 2, not exactly two good movies. It would have been so great to have Kosinski back, especially after watching Oblivion and Top gun maverick showing that he’s not a one hit wonder director but a very capable one

Bought it in 2010 on TeeFury for $9 at the time. Still in good shape after all those years of wearing it, I really love it. Maybe we'll hae a similar scene in Tron Ares ? 😄

Hi Everyone, so after 15 years Tron 3 is finally set to release later this year! With the first trailer out now, I'm sure there will be a lot of new comers curious about the series and wants to know where to start with it. So I thought I'd give some advise on how to go into the story through various ways. With that said let's go to it! Here is the many ways you can enter the grid (Canon entrees only)

Spoiler Free Order (for new comers)

1. Tron (Where it all started! Back in 1982, the first movie)
2. Tron: Legacy (2010 sequel movie)
3. Tron: The Next Day (2010 short movie epilogue to Tron: Legacy)
4. Tron: Betrayal (2010 graphic novel set between Tron 1 and 2)
5. Tron: Evolution (2010 video game set after Betrayal for home video game systems and handhelds)
6. Tron: Uprising (2012, 19 episode show set after Evolution, before Legacy)
7. Tron: Identity (2023 video game set after The Next Day, not part of main story, but expands lore)
8. Tron: Catalyst (2025 video game, set after Identity)
9. Tron: Ares (2025, the third film continuing the main plot forward from a different point of view)

I hope this list can help anyone that is curious about the canon story for Tron, or the Tron series overall and want to know where to start and where to go next in the story. There was also a game called Tron 2.0 set after the original Tron movie, and a short 6 issue comic called Tron: Ghost in the Machine which is set after Tron 2.0. Both of these were canon before Tron: Legacy was made. But as far as I'm aware they are no longer canon. But I have not played Tron 2.0 or read the ghost in the machine comic yet so I cant say for sure. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Not to mention when CLU fought Flynn, Tron fought clu to let him escape, even before his final sacrifice, when he faced clu at the portal, he could just say, you're retired, dismissed. You're no longer needed. Since he is the Creator, he should be able to easily repurpose clu like how he created him, like how he repurposed the guard before he stole the light jet. Rinzler was converted back to Tron just after he saw Flynn for a second. Instead, he stayed in his castle for thousands of cycles without making any moves.

Why? Maybe this question has been answered in the comic or in the sub, but I didn't find any satisfying explanation.. Thank you.

I was really sad that Kevin Flynn gave up his life for Sam and quorra. But then I saw Sam used a flash drive to copy the grid, then he turned off the computer where the grid was running on. Does that mean he's bringing the grid and all the programs with him?

The bigger question is, when Sam misses Kevin Flynn, can he just plug in and see his dad's digital copy (save file) before he annihilated?

I get you guys are all excited about the Ares trailer.

I'm confused after watching it. It seems that nothing from legacy matters anymore. The portal is destroyed, the master key (Flynn's disk) is taken away by Sam and quorra, CLU is gone. So how could they even get out of the grid? And I heard Flynn's voice in the trailer. But I thought he's gone too? If he's back, doesn't he miss his son? And the fact that he gave up his chance to go through the portal in order to give quorra a chance, that shows how much he cherish this new lifeform iso. And quorra is not even mentioned in the trailer?

Why?

Will we get a cool Tron light up popcorn bucket of some kind!

We saw the set photos of the Space Paranoids convention with the old fashioned outfits and Leto walking around in broad daylight wearing his full armor like he’s a lost child, which got me thinking

Do you think Disney will try to inject humor into Ares to try to make Tron more like their other adventure franchises?

Tron ‘82 only tried a few times to be “funny”, and Legacy even less so. I like how Tron takes itself very seriously despite its premise.

I get it. I had this opinion back in the early 2020s when the project was resurrected.

But once you expand beyond those expectations, you can get excited about what the film is actually offering.

I've been relistening to some of the remixes of the Grid and other Tron Legacy remixies lately and despite many being a decade old they still sound amazing to this day so which one do you happen to like the best?

Does anyone have images of the old QR codes I think you got on Tron Legacy toys? Google not providing much help. What did the codes do?
