Cheapest rent by distance from Seattle/Eastside?

Any suggestions for places to check out? I see downtown seattle has quite a few micro studios in the 1300~ ish range, however I expect that parking & utilities is not included and that these are very centralized, thus quite loud? I do not need to commute into the city for work so I'm looking for a micro studio/studio/maybe 1br in that price range for less, but a bit less centralized.

But also... the further from seattle it seems like less housing stock and fewer really cheap options? Eg renton, woodinville i cannot see anything listed online for like <1600~1700? How far out of seattle to really get closer to that 1k range?

Like other Pride Festivals, Spokane Pride lost a key sponsorship from Anheuser-Busch and some smaller sponsorships. But still, Spokane organizers, as well as organizers from North Idaho and rural Washington Pride festivals say they've seen an uptick in community support. – RANGE Media

How are you folks feeling about Bob Ferguson?

Hey folks, title says it all. Curious what other Washingtonians are thinking of our new governor.

It has only been a few months but I'm not that impressed with what I've seen so far. For example, he recently commented that he didn't want to see any type of wealth tax in our budget even though we have a massive shortfall, but is fine with furloughs and minor layoffs for state employees. Additionally, I thought he'd be a little more environmentally forward but I haven't seen that either. Instead we've seen increases in police funding.

WA PFML and STD Urgent question

Hello guys! I applied for FMLA but my employer is forcing me to apply for WA PFML to be eligible for STD benefits so as to top off my salary to meet the 60% base pay requirement. This way all leaves will be made to run concurrently.

Is STD really the same as WA PFML? I thought the PFML is dependent on employee’s choice.

Also, the processing times for WA PFML are extremely long. Will they back date the pay if my leave begins earlier than their processing window?
