I'm on vacation with a friend who just found out that zucchini bread exists and is convinced that it can't taste good

Does anyone have any insider info on the plans for the 25/26 parking plans?
The website has said the following for what feels like months: "Improvements to your parking and arrival experience are coming for the Winter 2025/26 season. Keep your eyes on our website for an update in the coming weeks."
I've been holding off renewing my pass for next year because I don't want to be locked in and then have Vail introduce paid weekend parking on top of the ~$1500 pass

Anyone know where “bean bowl” is on the mountain? See it referenced on peak live grooming reports but can’t remember it being a run and I’ve skied there a long time.

I’m hoping to ski some of the harder terrain like Saudan and the cirque. When do they usually close?

Does Early season mean any calendar day prior to December 12, 2025 including now or does that mean specifically the upcoming winter season?
Say I buy a 5-Day EDGE card today and then go ski tomorrow and the next day. Does that mean I still have 5 days for the 2025-26 season? Or does it not cover this current season?

Hi folks, I made it up to Whistler village this weekend on a lark for my son who wanted to see the village up close and do some painting. Super spring weather!! He busted up his leg skiing last year at Mt Hood, so he's more interested in taking in the sights than skiing. I've heard that staff here might have unused gondola sight seeing tickets looking for a good home.
If you are feeling super generous and have some tickets available, you have a very appreciative person asking. Anything for Sunday 4/6/25 would be awesome. DM is good. Thanks for the consideration!

As the title suggests, I was wondering if the conditions are safe enough to drive to Whistler with an Evo. I have not driven in snow before but I have driven to Whistler in summer/early fall a couple of times.

Hi! I've seen a bit of conflicting info on the sub. Can anyone confirm whether the blackcomb demo hut has skis, or just boards? And where is it? (Not the Whistler hut. The blackcomb hut.)
Another question for the knowledgeable folks... is it even worth it to demo in spring conditions? Or should I wait till next winter? I'll be up next weekend (April 12-13).
Thanks!

Lots of Jerry’s up there today. I enjoyed the carnage getting in.
Amazes me people don’t just walk in. Takes 2 minutes. Especially with the rocks getting more exposed.

Hi friends! Heading up tomorrow. For those of you who have been up recently, I am bringing a newb up to the Glacier. Is the ice cave visible? Thanks!

Just arrived with a 3yr old and a 5 year old. Here for 2 days. Not sure if we can take the kids skiing or not. Maybe tubing is just better for them. We have no experience in the Rockies. Just skied in Ontario.

Hi all. I’ve skied here about 20 times over 6 years and never been to the glacier. What can I expect if I went tomorrow or Friday? I’m with a strong intermediate skier who I don’t want to freak out. Thinking about the t bar entrance not Spanky’s. Thanks.
Update: went today at noon. Best snow on the mountain. Saw some carnage at the entrance but didn’t have a problem. Will go again tomorrow.

Does anyone else find it odd that Whistler doesn’t have a base lodge? Like somewhere that you could sit down to put your boots on, store a bag, buy food, or just a place to sit to take a break where you don’t need to buy something? Something like the Roundhouse, but at the base of the mountain.
Don’t most other resorts have this? I grew up out East and every resort I went to had something like this. I obviously understand that there are various reasons for why a smaller East Coast hill would have a base lodge and why it’s not as high of a priority at Whistler specifically given various factors. But it still seems weird to me that you’re supposed to get your ski boots on in the parking lot in the rain at a world class ski resort (with world class prices) and if you want to take a break in the village you basically have to go to a (expensive) restaurant.
Or do a lot of other bigger mountain resorts out West have a similar setup as Whistler, where they only have lodges up on the mountain? Obviously the climate (often too warm and wet at lower elevations) is a reason why this wouldn’t be as desirable at Whistler vs. other mountains. Still seems odd to me though.
Anyone else feel the same?
EDIT - I would be much more willing to take the bus up from Vancouver for a ski day if there was a base lodge. A big reason I drive up is so that I have a place to store my stuff and get my gear on, etc.
EDIT #2 - The damn bathrooms at the base are disgusting - at least the men's bathroom under the Carleton Lodge. They have that disgusting trough for everyone to pee in and it just sits there and turns into yellow slime.
Overall point - WB needs to improve its facilities at the base level IMO.

i’m going up there in 2 weeks to snowboard again and i’m just curious about the conditions of the snow/mountain! i tried looking for a snow cam/snow report but couldn’t find anything which is odd considering whistler is, well, whistler!
it seems like a silly question at best, i’m not a local unfortunately haha

Skied out Lower Franz at 2:30 today and the last 1000 vertical feet was so much fun. Skied it just like powder, soft and floaty. Best part was it wasn’t sticky at all. Glad I skipped the download option.

As the title states.. looking for hotel recommendations that are in more quiet areas of the village? Somewhere that allows 1 night bookings as I just need accommodation for a night.

Thinking of booking one of the condos (Aspens, etc.) on the Blackcomb slope side next week, How are the conditions for ski in/out?
If it's not worth it slope side during this time of the year, then I also don't mind Village North if the buses are still running frequently to the Gondolas.

Has anyone been skiing the crystal chair the past few days? Just wondering if it's slushy over there. I've been lapping on 7th, harmony and symphony the past 3 days having a great time but I want to try some other blues while hopefully still avoiding slush.

Lost it on the freeway apparently… not sure how that happened… must’ve fallen out of my truck bed.
