Specialized Hardrock with Hydro brakes

Bought this Hardrock last year. So far I’ve replaced the wheels and cassette, added Surly bars and also added hydro brakes, which involved some welding and machining. Styled here by Tommy

I converted to thread less but went back. It's a chore to find the right quill stem, but when you do it really looks so much better and functionally has fewer failure points than an adapter

Nice have you got any pics of that threadless conversion please? I’m 100kg and theres no 1” forks I trust for steep rocky descents I’m afraid hahah. I also want some decent suspension forks and 1 1/8 has modern options

You probably already know, but the stridslans barnacle forks are available in 1" and are ISO (MTB?) tested, might be an easier option. But your adapter idea sounds pretty sick haha

Oh sorry I misunderstood. I did the adapter thing, which I see you already have done. Personally Id trust the forks, I've done pretty rowdy trails on mine fully loaded (though I'm only 80kg). I suppose you have the added stress of the disc brake.
