Important note: 2 more wins doesn't fully 100% clinch the 3rd seed
"When a tie must be broken to determine a division winner, the results of the tie-break shall be used to determine only the division winner, and not for any other purpose."
Could be wrong, but I take this to mean a tie for division winner would send a multi team tiebreaker to the next criteria.

The first criteria for a multi team tie is division leader, but if LAC gets to 50, we could tie them for division leader. And in that case:
"When a tie must be broken to determine a division winner, the results of the tie-break shall be used to determine only the division winner, and not for any other purpose."
That would send as to the next tie breaker, won-lost percentage. And since MIN is 3-0 vs LAC, MIN would have a better won-lost percentage in a 3-way LAL/MIN/LAC tie, and potentially in 4 and 5-way ties as well involving those 3 teams.

Honestly, it might be time for the NBA to finally ban the word "shooting"
"killer mindset"
"unaliver mindset"

Only 2 games separate the 3rd and 8th seeds currently in the West
The current 3rd seed Lakers are 47-30. The current 8th seed Grizzlies are 45-32. How will the final standings shake out? Who will rise and who will fall? Awesome race we have ahead of us here down the stretch.

Lakers Organized Offense Rate update. Last year's average was 53% for context (graph from Cranjis)
It's looked like switch heavy defenses like the Warriors last night have given us a lot trouble to my eye and Reaves had a quote about it as well:
"There was a pretty bad stretch where we weren't organized and against a team that reds (switches) 1-5 with their 2nd unit you have to be organized and run your stuff, and we just didn't do it."

Agreed. And there's also a pattern of us struggling vs switch heavy defenses like the Warriors last night. If we can get better at attacking those it should help turn things around in my opinion

Denver is currently projected to finish 4-3. In this scenario Lakers could finish 5-2 and pass them via tiebreaker
Alternatively: MEM, GSW, MIN, and LAC are all currently projected to finish with 48 or less wins. In this scenario Lakers only need to finish 2-5 to stay ahead of these teams via tiebreaker or otherwise.

Going 5-2 would also guarantee we finish above MEM and GSW, as we already hold the tiebreakers over both.

Any arguments against this being the clear best bracket the Lakers could hope for?
Clippers in first round.
Warriors in second.
Thunder in WCF.
Celtics in Finals.
Lakers in 5.

Bronny James balls out for South Bay with 39/7/4 and 4 steals and a plus 19 in a 4 point win
I was confused at first for a second too haha. But I remembered the G league has players take one free throw that counts for two until some time in the fourth. So he had 32 points from FG, 4 points from 2 FT worth 2 points each, and 3 points from 3 FT worth 1 point each, all adding up to 39.

Maybe I'm being dumb, but doesn't it explicitly say the opposite?
