Hinge Experience Why do I only ever receive likes from Indian guys?

I have a Carolyn, Tobias, Miles, and Tigger. They all know their names and respond really well.

My mom works in heath care and calls them window witches. I'm not sure why they're so horrible.
One of my best friends is a neurosurgeon and was shadowing a doctor one summer and they were horrible to her, too.
I used ProsperHealth.io for my assessment and it was $75 with my insurance

Second this! I use to have some Sony noise canceling headphones, but they weren’t something I wanted to wear without music playing. I love wearing my AirPods Pro with nothing playing and just the noise canceling feature on.
I don’t love loops because I hate how they feel in my ears.

I was thinking this same thing yesterday. I had selective mutism up until high school and even though I was too anxious to speak, it was just easier. Now days I feel like everything I say is wrong. Like every time I speak at work I regret it.

I think stretcher bars would help a lot with the frustration because it stretches it out a bit and it’s easier to manipulate the threads and needles. Also for the background try basket weaving. It goes a bit quicker!

Mine would be like classically preppy (ie. What the kids call coastal grandmother) and her thing would be voting rights. Her pet is an Orange Tabby. Her hobby is needlepointing.
Her meet outfit is a navy striped boatneck top, jeans, and white sneakers. Her accessories are tortoiseshell glasses, an L.L. Bean Boat and Tote, her favorite lip gloss, a clipboard, and her phone.
In her story she runs for class president and everyone is nice and acts like they’re going to vote for her, but some mean boys call her weird and get everyone to support this other girl who is friends with the mean boys. She learns that sometimes people can be mean to you just because you’re different. Her best friends always have her back though. The story is nuanced because she has level one autism. Totally not based off a real life experience or anything!
Also, I remember when I had the Logan hopscotch hill doll as a kid, in her book she had ADHD and stimmed with playdoh. I loved that! Maybe my doll has a tangle.

Yes! I think she requires the Zen remodel, the night egg house, and bonto bitz

I’m having a very horrible day, Hermeowne graced me with her presence so it’s okay.

I literally don't understand Le Stitch. Is it a social club or just a site that sells weird merch? Their social media presence is confusing.

Oh that's a smart idea to just ask them not to tape. I have a sewing machine so yeah, very do-able.
2
I love all of them! Last time I visited I went in two days in a row. I also bought a Taylor canvas!
Also, First Light Books is super close and it's my fav place to stitch outside on a sunny day. :)

omg Taylor has enough money. Buying CDs to support sales supports her on the charts. Worrying about a needlepoint canvas being licensed from universal is silly imho.

There are so many different vibes!
I went to one stitch night at an LNS I really like, and I was sitting with some young women around my age who had all attended the same college in a different state and I was so out of the loop that I felt kind of shitty being there. (It was NOT the LNS’ fault though. I love the ladies who own it.)
But then on the way out I met a very lovely girl from my Alma Mater who invited me to another stitch night and that one was totally chill and I had a blast!
I also noticed Needle Works in Austin had a much more relaxed vibe than a some of the LNS in Dallas. They were just excited to see a younger person stitching!
I guess it depends on where you are and the people you’re with

I hate the tape so much. When the adhesive starts to pill because the tape peeled off it’s such a sensory ick for me.

I went to a top college. My best friend also has autism and he’s currently in law school at an Ivy League. :)
I was actually selectively mute until I met my college friends and then I kind of came into myself. We’re all neurodivergent and share the same interests. They’re my people.
I’m also planning on going back into academia because I think it’s better for autistics than the corporate world.

I really suggest visiting a rheumatologist or at least visiting your GP and getting tested for arthritis or other autoimmune diseases.
You’re technically right that it’s our bodies always being ready to fight. This comes from our Vagus nerve in our brains always being in a state of withdrawal. Basically, no one really understands us, so we’re always on alert. Our vagus nerve then communicates to the rest of our body that things are not good!! The brain’s stress response causes the body to go into a state of high alert which leads to inflammation and autoimmune disorders.
Personally, I have psoriatic arthritis, and it gets a lot worse with stress. Chronic stress signals from the brain makes my body attack my joins more.
Also, when I visit my doctor I have a hard time locating my pain. I just know I feel like shit. Then he’ll poke on me and say, “your elbow is super inflamed” and I’m like, “Oh yeah. I have to prop it up on a pillow.”
I think this is two things:
A.) The autistic brain already over produces endogenous opioids (like endorphins) to help us manage core functionality and exist in everyday life. This can result in us not necessarily totally feeling the pain.
B.) tbh I think I’m masking at the doctor. I’m a huge people pleaser so I’m likely to just smile and nod instead of saying, “my shoulder and back pain make me feel so achey that sometimes it feels like having the flu.”
Anyway, I hope this helps! Hopefully you’re right and it’s just tension, but please please get tested for arthritis, too. I wouldn’t be able to function without my arthritis medication.

I actually dropped it off at another LNS I visited for a stitch night! I’ll check the place out in CT though!
I actually visited the LNS I mentioned in my post again too, and had another kind of bad experience. I had just visited Chaparral and kitted like three canvasses, then visited this other shop. I bought a canvas, an ort bowl, and a couple skeins of vineyard silks. When I went to check out, the woman said my card was declined and I was like uhh that’s weird. I paid bills this morning and I have a limit set, but I haven’t reached the limit. So I try again and she says it’s declined so I split it on two cards. I ended up being charged twice, but I didn’t know until I got a refund notification email five days later from the LNS. It was so awkward and a class was starting so everyone heard my card get declined. 😭😭😭
Mistakes happen, but I just wish they had told me instead of just sending me a generic automated refund email. I think they’re just off the list for me.

I already did like five years ago. 😭 I mean, I know I have to ignore her and separate myself but she still freaks my body the fuck out because my brain sees her as a threat.

Same! I don’t have the heart to swap out the background toy for a better picture. Snowball is a local!

I specifically see a therapist who specializes in autism and it’s made the biggest difference in the world. I’ve been in therapy for a decade and I swear this is the first time it’s felt like real progress.

Is it ethically weird to send a rare-ish TLC secondhand doll to the hospital for Advanced Care?

No. I basically had them make me a new Ruthie because I bought a really nasty one off eBay.
