Hello! I have the same laser model and size as you. I have noticed the same thing when I cut 1/8 to 3/8 plywood (11mm/sec; 20% power). On the right side of the cutting surface, it tends to not cut all fibers in the last layer plywood. I have been using an Xacto knife to finish the cut, or have the laser go on more pass. What I think is happening is the right side of the cutting platform is a hair lower than the left side. I have not tried nor looked into adjusting the table. There should be a way to level the cutting bed jack screws, but again, I have not searched either. I moved the point of origin to start cutting on the left side and avoid cutting items on the right side. If I do have to cut on the right, I either boost power to 25% or slow it down to 9mm/sec and to reduce time of cut, I select only that item to cut.

On a side note, I see you purchased the Auto Focus model. I as well and it worked the first dozen or so tries but now, when I use the auto focus does not stop when it makes contact with the surface. It had pushed through 3mm ply with the tip of the laser and left dent the honeycomb. I have not used it since.

Hello, I have an Ender 3 Pro and looking into why my printer is dropping Z height after bed leveling and the hot end is still heating to temperature. Tried different slicer programs, currently using Prusa Slicer 2.7.0? Once the hot end reaches temp, the printer starts the print only to drag the nozzle into the bed like yours. Currently, my fix is to wait until the printer starts printing, then quickly adjust the Z offset until the nozzle is laying down filament as it should. A normal Z-offset for me is -0.94mm. for my last print though I had to adjust it to -2.49 mm. Crazy... Anyway, I read another chat about this and they mentioned the stepper motors are disengaged during heat up and their fix was to edit the g code to keep motors engaged during heat up. Hope this helps. If I find that the g code edit works I'll let you know.

Same. Had 2 22" for a while...no for a long time. Then picked up a 32" Acer curved. Love it. I still use one of the 22" in the shop. Going from the 32 then over to the 22 it is hard to believe I thought the later was as good.

Before moving the unit, I unpacked it from the crate, removed all packed items and inspected the laser engraver. I did see the front bit of the laser looking loose. See pics... sent the pics to OMTech, they called and are sending out a new tube.

Taking the base off was pretty easy, it's four bolts and in the bottom right panel one of the front relay screws was also holding onto the base. Once it was apart the laser engraver would fit through the narrow doors. With Just the right amount of leverage and teamwork the engraver is in place with no scratches.

Update.. Omtech called me back. They said that the base could be removed and reinstalled without voiding the Warranty. So, the plan is to remove all packed parts inside the engraver body, Tilt the whole unit on its side, remove the base, carry the pieces to the work room and reassemble. Sounds easy enough. I will let yall know how it goes.

OK, the laser is here, but with the base attached, it will not fit through the doorways... If I remove the base, will that void the warranty?

Hello! I apologize for the delay in reporting in. Life gets in the way sometimes.... I attempted to remove and clean the heater block but, managed to strip the grub screw holding the heat element. After a trip to the Amazon, I upgraded the hotend, and splurged for the auto bed level.

Didn't use hot water to remove PETG. water boils at 214-degree Fahrenheit, or some weird number close to that. The hotend was set to 243 degrees F. I let the hotend cool and then used x-acto knife and nippers to remove the larger pieces. sorry, didn't take any pics during the work. There still seems to be a PETG sheen to it. I'll try warming it up and then using a dry cloth in attempt to wipe off the PETG. Pics to follow...

Thanks for the advice! When I get the hotend cleaned up, I think I am going back to using PLA. I also read that PETG needs to be dried before printing?

Pulled off the blob. It was really stuck on the thermocouple wires. They were cut. I think I will keep it as a reminder..

What a mess! Is this salvageable? I am thinking of removing the hot end and placing the pieces into hot water to remove the melted plastic. Ever tried that?

Hello! I have been using an Ender 3 Pro for the past two years or so learning to make amazing prints with PLA. On a whim, I picked up a couple of rolls of PETG, Fist print went well, made a Tiara for the wife. Bed was set to 60c, hot end at 243c, print speed was 40 mm/s. Not really any issues. just a lot of stringing. I cleaned the hot end and fans before the second print, but I did not change the tip, as it was also on its second print too. I had the printer level, and yeah, as you can see, I still use manual bed leveling, lol. When I start a print, I will stay with it for the first layer or two just to make sure the filament is adhering where it should. Things were looking great. The first layer was on the print bed and I had no other issues. Off to bed I go. I walk in to check on the print and I see the magnetic print bed on the floor and the hot end printing happily away, but there was nothing on the print bed. I bend over to look at the hot end and I find this blob of melted PETG has encapsulated the hot end!
