my family income is like 35k aud lol. So the grant isn't just provided at T10 unis? what about for international students?
I've heard that Northwestern University is really good.
1
I've heard that top US colleges give a lot of grants to poor students, that doesn't happen in the UK right?
Thanks

isnt waterloo the one where students look demented after the first year?
1
nah i meant "below only", is it this hard for all international students?
1
I'm taking it for the caffeine, the taste isn't great, but at least healthy

oh, the policy says if I completed less than one full academic year I will be treated as a first-year, if I completed one or more academic year I will be treated as a transfer student.
I'll try think of a way to not do any courses in the 3rd term in the current uni.

Not transfer, applying as a new student.

My high school IB grades are supposed to be valid for up to 2 years after graduation.
I went to a relatively unknown uni UNSW

Maybe, only below 3-5 people in Australia get into any single ivy league / Oxbridge unis per year.
1
Yeah, I just realized that. So for Oxford and Cambridge, I apply between September and October, and then the results come out next year?
For other UK Unis applications start in January and the year starts around September?
Thank you
1
what is that?
2
the IB transcript of my grade also shows how many points are needed for the next grade so I'm fine.

It does sound quite petty but I want to maximise my chance.
Thank you
2
Is this just for the top 8-10 unis in the US? What about the top 20? If I don't get in.

oh ok, thank you. What if I get #1 in math or English certificates from my high school? I can still submit them to the uni, right?
1
I thought these terms refer to number 1 and 2 in the entire graduating class (year level).
Or can they be used for number 1 in Maths or English in the graduating class as well?
1
Oh sorry, I meant class, i think its called differently, in my school it was called "Merit"

Same for international students? The universities in Australia don't give a cent.

unsw is underrated on that list, unsw should be just behind usyd overall.
But we're better at engineering / commerce stuff I think

Hey, i was wondering abt something similar. Would it be a good or bad thing for my college application if my yr 8/9/10 grades were average but I improved really quickly in the last two years? like 3.5 to 3.9
