Alabama lawmakers pass bill to help save pharmacies: ‘Never seen a more unfair fight’
 in  r/Alabama  3h ago

The best part for me, as somebody who has been advocating for this for years, was seeing the same copy and pasted talking points as last year. They included numbers which were present in an old bill but not in this bill. Astroturfed to hell, but I hope we've finally turned the corner on this.

Contact information for Governor Ivey. Please consider contacting her to encourage her to sign this bill.

I am an independent pharmacist, and this is unbelievably huge for us. In the past month I've been unable to fill at least 60 prescriptions because I was being reimbursed below my cost to obtain a medication. That doesn't include any overhead, just an automatic loss. PBMs are a cancer.

Pulled Pork. Cut up two large Costco shoulders into quarters. Saved me a few hours!

I usually go with 165°F for 19 hours.

It's perfect every time. The best part? It cooks in a vacuum sealed bag full of all its own juices, which are so easy to reserve and turn into a sauce after the cook.

Thank you for saving me the time, I was just about to do the same thing.

Sometimes I'll sous vide a pork butt, cool it overnight, then smoke to finish. They frequently fall apart after the sous vide and I always think "oh nooooooo, more surface area for more bark!"

I talked with my service advisor and he specifically mentioned "turbos and all", for whatever that's worth

You might enjoy "MacArthur's Jungle War | The 1944 New Guinea Campaign" by Stephen R. Taaffe.

It is incredibly well sourced and an interesting look at a part of WW2 that doesn't get a lot of attention. I'm not finished yet, but I've been really impressed with the thoroughness of the author. It's taking me a while because it's so well sourced that I frequently find a thread and run with that, taking me out of the book proper but I've learned a lot.

All the characters just seem like the extreme versions of themselves now. They all feel like caricatures.

Flanderization

Charging for the game that shows off your new system's features is super stupid, it should be free and pre-installed on the console

If I already have steam (and an embarrassingly large backlog...) can I just buy a steam deck and download then play games on it?

Guess I'm asking if I need to buy games again.

That particular cell was nicknamed "The Freezer" by other inmates because it was cold with nothing but a concrete floor.

Mine came from the factory with one, I'm happy with it. Wouldn't call it "waterproof" but I don't sweat putting anything back there and worry about it getting wet. Very water resistant.

My parents didn't like Rammstein. We don't speak German, they just didn't like the sound.

So they dialed up to the Internet and translated the lyrics, used that as an excuse to snap the CD in half, and told me I couldn't listen to them anymore.

Limewire and/or Kazaa, a CD-R labeled "Garth Brooks", some sick neckband headphones and I was back in business.
