Global News reporting that the Whitecaps are in discussions with the City of Vancouver to build a new stadium

Haven't found an article yet as it's breaking news (will update when I find one) but was just on the 6pm news. Squire Barnes is saying that the location of the stadium would be at the PNE grounds if approved. Obviously would be a great sign that the Whitecaps are staying put if they have their own stadium.

Ulu Alaskan knife
 in  r/NCL  8d ago

My fiance bought one on our trip last year. Upon entering the ship they took the item and gave us a slip to bring back at the end of the cruise. We turned the slip in when heading off of the ship in Vancouver and they gave us the item, no problems at all.

Injuries derailed what could’ve been a great Canucks season… time to emotionally transfer to the Blue Jays.

Whitecaps are also off to a franchise-best start, Giants in the playoffs, and the Canadians always seem to be competing for a title. If only some of the other teams success can rub off on the Canucks

Northern lights cruise?
 in  r/Cruise  12d ago

We were able to during an early-season Alaska cruise last year, and supposedly end-of-season gives some chances as well. It's not a given, especially with the weather, but you could get lucky on a night or two

 in  r/NCL  Mar 05 '25

Replacing shows I believe, Getaway for sure as their most recent production Million Dollar Quartet has ended production as of last week. Getaway still has Broadway Unplugged as their second show. (Day after update: Broadway Unplugged is now gone from my sailing as well)

cruise pricing
 in  r/NCL  Feb 07 '25

Depends how full the cruise is beforehand. If there's lots of rooms available the price will go down, if it's close to selling out the price probably goes up. Search the cruise up on a site like cruiseplum and it'll give you the pricing history of that sailing and you can probably see the trend from there

I think we may have the worst weather forecasting in the entire country. Forsaken again. Not one flake.
 in  r/vancouver  Feb 01 '25

Today's not the big snowfall that has been predicted. We have the chance for flurries (which some have reported happening already) and potentially a couple of cm's, but the big system rolls in overnight and throughout Sunday until late Monday morning. You'll probably see the heaviest snowfall Sunday night which will likely lead to school closures.

The wide range in snow outcomes is expected as the snow bands aren't massive in size so some areas may only get a few cm's while others get over a foot.

Significant snowfall expected this weekend. Flurries Saturday night, developing into heavy snowfall Sunday evening into overnight hours. 10-20cm for most areas.
 in  r/vancouver  Jan 31 '25

Forecast also seems to be calling for extra snow Monday, then we dip into the freezer for the coldest temps of the year. Long-range next week seems to be bringing another system next Friday but its undetermined yet whether it'll be more snow, freezing rain, or rain. Will be interesting to watch, this first round of snowfall could really outperform in some areas as well

New employee agreement is out.
 in  r/Costco  Jan 30 '25

Canada ends up essentially copying the U.S. every time. It really doesn't make sense nowadays given the difference in the two currencies. Top rate $31.90 Canadian ends up being about $22.10 USD as of today, which is barely above the American starting wage.

Best time to go to Alaska?
 in  r/NCL  Jan 22 '25

Went in May last year and it was great. Basically everything was already open and the fares are much cheaper than summer. Also got dark enough to see the Northern Lights one of the nights. We had one rainy day out of the week. One downside is that the trainride from Anchorage isn't running if you're doing a 1-way until the middle of May

My opponent scoring 197 (PPR 1qb 2wr 2rb 1flex). Sometimes you can do everything right but the fantasy gods shine brighter on the other player.

Where can i find a list of the shows available on my ship, the Getaway?
 in  r/NCL  Dec 06 '24

I'm booked on the Getaway in May. The only shows listed currently are Howl at the Moon (which is a dueling piano show) and Million Dollar Quartet. Burn the Floor was on the Getaway previously but has likely stopped due to budget cuts

Exact same here. But he was the main piece that got me Saquon so can't be too upset

[Paterson] Lankinen and Demko the only goalies on the ice at Canucks practice

Also worth noting no Hughes (likely maintenance day) with Forbort filling his spot in a non-contact jersey.

No JT Miller at practice today either

Double points this year?
 in  r/myvegas  Dec 05 '24

There's a MyVIP post about a holiday "Wish List" sweepstakes starting tomorrow (12/05). Any bonus to LP like last year would probably begin with that. Last year it was actually 5x LP for December and I probably got a couple million from that month alone.

You are missing Blackjack (which is a pain to get LP from) and Tetris (You can get 750 every two hours from watching ads and a certain amount through gameplay - Quit out of hard levels repeatedly for max efficiency). I also believe Bellagio Poker rewards LP but haven't played it myself

50k/day is probably about the max you can get currently (more might be possible but getting that amount already is very timely). It's doubtful that even playing max efficiency you can make it there by March, then also get the comp flight which rarely ever becomes available. Best of luck however!
