Asylum seekers who fled Iran to UK on small boats 'return to country on holiday'
 in  r/uknews  21h ago

it wont be "the gays are not having sex to reproduce" it'll be "trans people are groomers, so we are making them illegal" then they'll make abortion illegal and restrict womens rights just like America because thats exactly what reform is planning on doing.

Asylum seekers who fled Iran to UK on small boats 'return to country on holiday'
 in  r/uknews  21h ago

I mean at present labour has deported the most, and has gone after the smugglers. It'll take years before a dent is made. The tories on the other hand spent years screaming about migration while taking us out of the EU and making our migration go from 250k to 900k a year.

Labour is not perfect and far from it but so far they have done way more than the tories.

How do I deal with my friend who believes in chem trails?
 in  r/AskUK  1d ago

He is completely wrong.
The government DID stage a fake gas attack onto a UK village to see how the people would react a long time ago, but aircrafts dont have chem trails. Its a mix of of vortices on the edge of the wing and dumping excess fuel when coming to land.

If your friend believes that the government is poisoning us through chem trails then ask him what about all the cars which hes directly breathing in. But a way to get to heart of it is to keep asking him "why" and repeating back what hes saying because he'll eventually begin to understand how silly it all sounds and gets him to deal with the root of his belief.

Which Generation Is More Conservative: Millennials or Gen Z?
 in  r/generationology  1d ago

Gen Z, but the question is kinda wrong.
There are plenty of conservative millennials born before the 90s. But Gen Z conservatives tend to be far-right, and its most likely due to social media companies knowingly promoting far-right content on social media especially when Gen Z have been bombarded by the "algorithm" for longer.

Which Generation Is More Conservative: Millennials or Gen Z?
 in  r/generationology  1d ago

It could be due to the near 24/7 connected to an endless scrolling for you page. There have been experiements done where people create a new account in tiktok etc pretending to be a teen and within an hour they get their first far right content and it only gets more and more extreme the more they end up watching the more "harmless" vids. Now the fault isnt people falling into it, the fault is the tech companies who know this time and time again and they still mostly recommend conservative to far right content on social media.

Aside from this blatant show, do we think theres an actual rise in fascism in the UK? Or a rise in confidence in them expressing their views?
 in  r/AskBrits  2d ago

Heres the thing UKIP was like this when it was first set up.
UKIP at the beginning didnt want the extremists from the EDL until they were established and people were not listening to UKIP. Reform will do extactly the same thing.

Yep, it worked back then because they targeted trans people. So they're doing it again, trans people have been screaming about this for years which is why trans people in the UK and USA were calling their countries fascist a few years ago. But like in the past people agreed to the persecution and then they acted shocked when the very people started to go after anti-abortion next.

UK Birth Rates Hit Historic Low as Women Delay Motherhood
 in  r/uknews  3d ago

Whats insane is that companies actually went to the EU to discuss letting in more migrants so they can have more workers. The far right along with the wealthy (the ones who fund the far right and are very into being company owners) would shit the bed if suddenly half of the population stayed at home to look after kids, they want high migration. Its just complaining about lack of birth giving is designed to make people susceptible to their take over.

UK Birth Rates Hit Historic Low as Women Delay Motherhood

yeah the birth rates across the planet are falling, and when people from high offspring countries move to the west their fertility drops like a brick.

UK Birth Rates Hit Historic Low as Women Delay Motherhood
 in  r/uknews  3d ago

To put this into perspective, my parents in the mid 90s brought a house while they both worked in a supermarket 1 full time the other part time because of me. Now I hear people in pretty good jobs with good wages not being able to buy a house or afford kids.

Minimum wage rises do not seem to boost UK productivity
 in  r/unitedkingdom  6d ago

thats because productivity isnt about the workers its about the companies. employees can only be as productive as the company allows. Its like having 2 offices 1 uses computers and the other pen and paper and wondering why pen and paper office isnt as productive as computer office.
