With the game almost out, what does everyone think of Doomguy's new look?
 in  r/Doom  12h ago

Batman's cape has function. It's allows him to glide, can slow his descent, and can even be used in a fight to disorient enemies. There's a reason for it to be there so it makes sense to take a quick-release into account.

Doomguy's fur cloak, from what we've seen so far, is all form and absolutely no function. It's just there for show and in a fast-paced battle it's just gonna get in the way. A demon could grab it and toss him around or it could flop over the top of his head and block his vision. Doomguy can still die and it's a liability with how he moves. If it requires a quick-release for such an occasion, then better to just not have it to begin with.

And that's when they learn that if they cry, they get tasty cheese.

Reinforcement learning comes from the strangest of places.

Remember what Edna said about capes? Same applies here. Looks awesome, but completely impractical.

Dream logic. Makes sense if you don't think about it.

The only thing infuriating about this is the sheer amount of notifications. That OCD part of my brain really doesn't like it!

How Many Times Did You Fail?
 in  r/bloodborne  9d ago

Not gonna lie, the first time I found it was by sheer accident. Absolute fluke.

Struggled every time after that when purposely trying to get to it.

I have unfortunately experienced this before, but with someone else 😞

Here's how I've come to understand it:

Every train of thought comes with several cars that are connected in some way. Some trains move faster, and some have more cars.

Normal people trains are very straightforward. All the cars are uniform and it moves at a standard pace. Each car is very clearly connected in a way that makes absolute sense.

ADHD trains move fast and have a lot of cars that all look completely different and disjointed to the average person. However, they're are all still perfectly connected in some way, it's just that the connections aren't always clear.

What did he expect to happen
 in  r/KidsAreFuckingStupid  10d ago

What gets me is he stopped to think about it, but then just threw himself off. Didn't even try to land on his feet.

If he actually was awake, he'll never do it again!

That's pretty awesome! It'd be interesting to see if there was a way to make it more rigid in cane form. Regardless, hats off to you, hoonter!

In Hinduism it symbolises "surya" (the sun). It's also used for prosperity, peace, and good luck.

It only becomes a bad thing when it's tilted onto one of its corners.
