Fighting-type Pokémon are ready to flex their might on Sparring Partners Raid Day! – Pokémon GO

If it wasn't for my local community, I'd bail on a handful of these too

Is it just me or has GBL been extra sweaty ever since the rebalance?
 in  r/TheSilphRoad  2d ago

It reminds me of a friend who used to play Rainbow Six competitively. He'd get taken out and be so confused as to why people would be in weird and non-meta locations.

I have lost a few times to people not running the usual meta charge moves, where I unfortunately predicted wrong and end up eating a charge move I wasn't expecting, which also does much more damage than I plan for.

Sometimes not knowing what is meta and therefore not playing by it, can work for you. As the old saying goes: "You can't know what I am doing if I don't have any idea what I am doing."

What’s up with frequency changes for Raids?
 in  r/TheSilphRoad  2d ago

They keep experimenting with Raid Spawns.

Back in January when Palkia and Dialga returned they started being super frequent, with most gyms being swarmed with raids (primarily 5 star), then they reduced it after a while (forgot what time that was.)

Dodging for Max Battles possibly not working
 in  r/TheSilphRoad  3d ago

It broke right before or possibly during Raikou Max Battle Weekends. If it was fixed, I never noticed it, because for me it has been broken ever since.

What ADHD trait do you not identify with?
 in  r/ADHD  8d ago

It becomes more internalized with age. I know a handful who say they don't have hyperactivity as a diagnosis, but they just have it mentally not physically

Curious if anyone with inattentive ADHD misinterpreted themself as “lazy”
 in  r/ADHD  11d ago

Yes and no. I was never "lazy" when it came to school subject that I had a genuine interest in. But any subject I saw no practical use for I would struggle to perform well in and study for.

But when your productivity is reliant on your brain and its interest in it and having a major disadvantage when you dont want to do, it's very easy to misinterpret as laziness

No heracross?
 in  r/TheSilphRoad  14d ago

I hope this is just an error. Heracross is the only Johto Pokemon I need for my dex, aside from Suicune and Entei.

Edit: its now shown for the ticket

Is ADHD Just 'Bad Luck'? A Doctor's Words Got Me Thinking
 in  r/ADHD  16d ago

I consider it bad luck. I hate what my ADHD does to me, I have accepted that I can't function as a typical person, but that doesn't mean I like it. The way this disorder has fucked over my life far outweighs the "benefits" and it feels like a curse not just being different from the norm

Am I the only ADHDer that doesn’t fall asleep after drinking coffee?
 in  r/ADHD  Mar 09 '25

It is perfectly normal.
Caffeine having the opposite effect of what it is known for (increased wakefulness, alertness and a boost in energy) is called Paradoxical Reaction.

Paradoxical Reactions to Caffeine is common amongst people diagnosed with ADHD, but it is not a Diagnostic Criteria because it doesn't happen to everyone, otherwise it would be incredibly easy to diagnose ADHD. So you feeling anxious, or alert is just a sign you don't experience that paradoxical reaction. Also managing and restricting caffeine intake when you start stimulant medication is heavily recommended by doctors, since it can affect your heart rate but alsoo tends to make you anxious or feel overwhelmed.

Mega evolve button not responding in raid team lobby
 in  r/TheSilphRoad  Mar 07 '25

Its not entirely unresponsive as much as not properly placed. I keep tapping it moving my finger slightly left or right to try and hit it and it works when it feels like my finger isnt even on the button.

As a person with ADHD, do you prefer to work in one go and then rest or work the whole duration with breaks in between?
 in  r/ADHD  Mar 07 '25

For my dayjob I usually just keep rolling. I only take breaks for things that I sort of need to do, cigarette breaks, bathroom, get a drink, or something to eat. It does kill my momentum unless it is needed (aka hungry, thirsty, craving a smoke) then it is less like a break and more of a refuel.

As for home projects/chores I am just dont stop once the ball is rolling

What is your opinion on “black cat” and “golden retriever” energy, when dating?
 in  r/dating_advice  Mar 07 '25

I despise it for several reasons.
The whole: Don't show you are interested, bullshit rarely works, especially nowadays.
If you don't show interest, neither will the person you are talking to. There is a fear of being a creep or being to pushy. Or maybe even just cutting one's losses because surprise surprise, the older get, the less time we have to spend on pursuing someone who doesn't seem interested.

Second I hate it because of the mentality it fosters to people who might legitimately be good people that want to find a potential partner but struggle to find one. Those people might see those videoes and buy into it and get swept along into it, which only worsens their situation.

The only good thing I can say about this is simply that the people who you absolutely would want to avoid like the massive red flag they are, are the people who buy into this crap. The kind of person whose entire being, lifestyle, opinion political or not, has to be dictated by social media and whatever is trending. The kinda person that will instantly jump on any fad or trend. Like those awful relationship tests that also plague tiktok. I would absolutely not want to be around a person like that and those trends at least help you recognize those people at a distance.

M4F France 30[M4F]#EU - Looking for a potential Partner

Hello there, trying this out and hopin for the best.

I am Korean Ethnicity, but I was adopted when I was an infant and raised in Europe.

I am an introvert, don't really like being in big crowds or having too much attention being put on me. I prefer to spend time at home, but I have recently begun to try and spend more time outside just so I don't go completely stir crazy staying inside.

My hobbies include Tabletop RPGs, Video Games, cooking, and diving into rabbit holes that I randomly stumble across on the internet or from random things said by friends or coworkers.

Apperancewise I am 178cm tall, I am slightly overweight at 93kg, but I am working on shedding the extra kilos for the sake of my health. Given my asian ethnicity I have black hair and brown eyes.

What I am looking for:
Someone who shares similar hobbies or interests as I.
Preferably around my own age (27-34 preferably), and from Europe or in the same timezone.

Don't know what else to add, so if you are curious feel free to ask.
