Is there any other rifle you’d recommend other then the Sig Cross?
Gen 1 is good too. The barrel heats up less quickly if you like to shoot rapidly

Am I supposed to land backseat in powder?
Def not forward

Took an 8-day ski trip after 20+ years off… lasted 3 hours. Need advice!
This honestly describes the first day of every season for me
Also you can't be that out of shape and expect it to go well. But I think you're aware of that

A lot of cars have the DRLs tied to the parking brake

Check your ammo before buying. Even the premium stuff
I believe their ammo is just rebranded value stuff, at least their range ammo is

Can someone please explain the differences between each of the Crosstrek engines? 2.0L, 2.5L, etc?
No, 50 mph flat cruise would easily be 40+mpg for me

Can someone please explain the differences between each of the Crosstrek engines? 2.0L, 2.5L, etc?
Sport mode does make the transmission more responsive and it generally hangs in a higher gear ratio

My 2.5 beats the epa highway estimate

Question on CVT fluid, change or no change
I think there is an asterisks in that manual that makes it clear that only the towing bullet point applies to the CVT. Towing is the main thing that generates excessive heat and fluid breakdown. Otherwise the built in cooler is enough.
The CVT is supposed to be pretty well sealed and it shouldn't be contaminated by dust or salt

I thought I was doing cool short turns but it looks kinda weird
it's really not that bad

Chill Off Piste Skiing - Wildfire Damaged Terrain at Sierra

the past couple of storms brought the snowpack up to average

Chill Off Piste Skiing - Wildfire Damaged Terrain at Sierra
Some chill (and possibly boring) meandering off piste, on the frontside of Sierra.
This whole area used to heavily wooded before a wildfire a few years ago. Now it's "above treeline" skiing with lots of debris, especially in poorer snow years or early szn
This was a few days after a 3 foot dump so it's seen some traffic although there's certainly fresh stretches. A fun day overall
