Feeling lots of big feelings about this one.

I had to stop and look at all the photos, what a beautiful boy! That is heart breaking for him to suffer that way. Hopefully karma comes back to her in all forms.

Thoughts on this horses movement at a walk.
 in  r/Horses  2d ago

You can clearly see the left hind twist out when pressure is applied to move forward. Andalusian have weak stifles naturally but that is extreme. Not normal. You're not going to be able to collect a horse that is in pain, he needs be worked up and rehabbed.

It's Maximus's lower lip that really gets me.

Help find my parrot a home
 in  r/parrots  6d ago

Hi OP! I'm sorry to hear about your situation changing but it's lovely to see someone doing right by their bird! I am in Southern California, I would be happy to take her. I had a beautiful cockatoo just like her for ten years or so before he passed away from old age. I love birds. I work from home so I'm always keeping an eye on our animals (dogs, horses, chickens). Please let me know if you don't find her a home with the other people who offered her a safe landing ❤️

Does all of the negativity against mares strike anyone else as misogynistic?

My mare is always a good reflection of my mood and is so sensitive to me if I'm in a crappy mood and go to ride she will quickly remind me I've been graced with her presence and not the other way around so I better fix my attitude 😂

I'm pretty sure my mare would go to war with me and run people down if asked. My geldings, eh they would keep an eye out for me but that's about it. My stallions would probably turn around and go the other way. I much prefer a mare as a partner! And you know what I'm extra spicy too depending on where I am in my cycle so I get it, she has hormones too.

Where *is* ok to shop these days?
 in  r/WitchesVsPatriarchy  17d ago

Chewy has chicken feed

Deleted my Walmart, Target, and Starbucks accounts. Amazon, you’re next.
 in  r/Anticonsumption  19d ago

Also got rid of all of those. I hate having to go shopping in person, Walmart delivery was the best thing. Now I go through Chewy for almost all my small animal purchases, and even some stuff for the horses. Truthfully a lot of the stuff on Amazon is junk we didn't need

[Acne] On my fifth acne patch, feels like there's a whole reservoir of pus under pimple
 in  r/SkincareAddiction  20d ago

Was it an actual white head before you put the patch on? They're just hydrocolloid patches so a lot of the time the "gunk" is just excess oil being absorbed from your skin. For what it's worth pimple patches do nothing for me except keep me from picking at the spot, I usually have to actually pop it and make sure it's cleared out and then put a patch on. Especially the super deep cystic ones. NOT telling you to pop it but the patch may be doing nothing but absorbing oil.

At what age are our kids no longer wearing grippy, non-slip socks?
 in  r/Mommit  21d ago

I'm 30 and still wear grippy socks because I slip and fall with my crappy knees all the time! I encourage the 12 year old to wear the grippy socks too but they can't be told anything

Biomane grooming tool
 in  r/Equestrian  22d ago

I have a cheap $4 piece of wood with basically a saw blade (not sharp) in it from tractor Supply that I've had for three or four years now and it is my go to for shedding season because it just grabs everything loose and gets it off the horse. I use the old school metal spiral curry for mud/dirt. Rubber curry when they're just regular dirty/dusty. A cut piece of stall mat also works wonders! A gal was selling them on Facebook for $10 for a 3x8 piece, I tried it thinking well $10 compared to all of the other horse things I've bought that weren't great. It IS great. Dirt, shedding hair, mud. Gone. Loaned it to a boarder and never saw it again. Tiger tongue sponges and cloths are also great

Okay yes that too. Just staring at the wall, two carts next to each other, no way for anyone else to pass.

You wake up one morning to find out that your car along with every vehicle in the world has had their engines disabled/removed and are now horse drawn. Whats your reaction and how does the rest of the world react?
 in  r/Horses  24d ago

My mule is broke to drive (although she could use a refresher) and I have two nice pleasure carts sitting in the garage waiting for any of our horses to be broke to drive. I would be thrilled!

Is coffee with honey or apple with peanut butter weirder?

Coffee with honey is divine. Heavy cream and milk, coffee, honey to sweeten 🤌🏼

Conrad
 in  r/TheResident  26d ago

I'm watching for the first time and periodically I wonder why he so often has his head facing toward the ground but is looking up at people when talking to them. But it's a great show and I think he's a great character so he can play it how he wants 🤣

Store layout change
 in  r/aldi  28d ago

Ours rearranged and it doesn't really make any sense. I would love for them to put the produce at the back because currently it's right at the front door so either you have to go the other way around the store to get the frozen/meats/heavy stuff first and then the produce last which is a mess with everyone going the other way or you put your produce in first and it gets banged up in the bottom of the cart

Equipment & Tack Saddleseat / Bootcut jodhpurs?!

I had bought a single pair of what I believe to be men's saddle seat pants at our local used tack shop out of desperation for a last minute show. We ended up not going but I finally decided to ride in them the other day and omg so much more comfortable than my usual breeches and honestly more flattering for my winter body right now 🤣 I looked online and I will not be spending $80 for similar pants, no way. Does anyone know a good source for saddleseat or even bootcut jodhs? I'm totally happy with used. Moose for attention
