Spent my 40th Birthday there. Easily the most beautiful place I've ever been in my life.

it's a quote from Psych, an old tv show that's set in Santa Barbara (though not filmed there). it's one of the main character's catch phrases.

great pic btw

Best Essential Clothing Brand?

super t shirts feel great, but i find the neck to be a little to wide for my liking. they have really quality stuff though, their serious sweats line is the best for lounge wear imo

Jason Sudeikis Confirms ‘Ted Lasso’ is Returning for Season 4: “We’re writing Season 4 now. That’s the official word. Ted’s coaching a women’s team.”

is that why i was so lukewarm about the last season? i thought it felt rushed but without anything important actually ever happening.

Govee hdmi sync box test

it's way more precise than the camera ever was but the slowness to connect to the app with it to switch the hdmi inputs gets old quickly.

What’s a movie nobody can convince you is good

I think it'd be hard to find someone who did like that movie. Even nic cage is probably aware of what a shit movie it was. Boring as hell with literally no redeeming ideas or moments.

Friends my age can't keep up!

Unrelated but how was Medellín? That's been on my list of places to visit for a while now. Just haven't quite made it. Also for the record I'm 42 and I feel I have the exact same mindset as you. I was want to go do something crazy or have a little adventure but finding someone to do that kind of thing with proves next to a possible a lot of the time!

How much do you think my zfold4 is worth lol
 in  r/GalaxyFold  Mar 06 '25

i had a z-fold 4 i'd been hanging on to as well. i tried to sell it on swappa but it was giving me ~$250 for the 1TB model. then a couple of weeks ago samsung had a trade in deal that gave me $1k off the z-fold 6. that was a no brainer for me. and i'm loving the 6. it's not nearly as thick as the 4. it actually isn't much thicker than the s24 ultra i was using. and i had def been missing the bigger screen.

People of Kentucky, how do you feel about the trade war with Canada in view of the boycott of $9.3 billion of your whisky and goods?
 in  r/AskReddit  Mar 05 '25

real question but what percentage of kentucky bourbon is being sold to canada? i assume that the vast majority is going to be sold in the US or Japan?

Since rich people can afford better food they probably taste better too.

do you mean they have a better sense of taste or that eating them would be better compared to eating a poor?

I have absolutely no idea what to do with my front room
 in  r/DesignMyRoom  Mar 01 '25

That's actually all I could think of when I bought the house. Every room is connected to the next room by stairs either up or down and it's pretty easy to get lost at first.

The two white doors right by the front door are actually pretty big closets already.

You pretty much have to pass through it to get to every other room in the house. They're actually big closets to the left of the front door but I could see maybe some kind of like hall tree situation or something.

I guess I'm just having trouble picturing anything in there

I guess I just really never considered that. The stairs going down by the wall with the chairs on it lead to the kitchen. You're right the front door is the one with the smart deadbolt. I have a really cool chromecraft table that I haven't sound a place for yet. So I think maybe I should give that a try in this room. Thanks for the suggestion :)

I guess the scale is kind of hard to see from the pictures but it's not that big of a room. I think the sectional would take up most of it. But I also have a much larger living room was a TV and comfy stuff in the room next to it

I put that light in because the previous owners had installed the bathroom vanity on the ceiling. I just thought it looked cool but I didn't exactly have a direction when I put it in. I don't actually have a dedicated dining space but is it weird to have the dining room right off the front door

That's exactly what it is right now, a storage space for leftover furniture.

Hey, that's a great question. I honestly don't know how much I'm going to use it. I already have a really large living room that's just up the stairs. It's pretty exposed with those windows and so I don't think I would hang out there a lot but it's also the first thing you see when you come in to my house so I want it to look like a cool space even if it's not particularly useful. I thought about maybe setting it up as like parlor or with a bar or something but like I said I'm just completely lost.

Other Interior Room I have absolutely no idea what to do with my front room

Just moved into this house a couple of months ago. I painted it a color I like but this room I'm just not sure what to do with. I put these cool chairs in a bar that I have in here just as a start but I'm still scratching my head.

The layout is kind of hard to tell from the pictures but it's off to the side as soon as you come in my front door then there's stairs leading up to the living room down to the kitchen and also down to the garage and basement. So there aren't a lot of blank walls.

I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys have. Thanks!
