Yea I know, which is why I won’t be sleeping tonight worrying about her.

It’s infuriating! She thinks she has sepsis so she has to shower before calling an ambulance. Oi.

What is the funniest thing Lucifer has done or said?
 in  r/lucifer  1d ago

There’s so many quotes, it’s impossible to pick one. Off the top of my head:

“Shouldn't you be, I don't know, having tea with Hitler by now?”

“THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT THE BLOODY DINOSAURS!” 🦕

letting a fascist take over just because the alternative candidate isn't ideal is like burning the house down because you don't like the paint color. you can repaint. you can push for change. But you need the house standing to do it.

don’t understand these people at all. democracy only works if everyone participates.

I did not care for Deckerstar
 in  r/lucifer  1d ago

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think that’s true free will. If God created Chloe specifically for Lucifer and placed her in his path, then their choices were already influenced by divine design. It’s like handing someone a script and saying they can improvise, as long as they stick to the ending.

Feels more like guided fate than free will.

God is omniscient, he sees and knows everything. So of course, He knew Lucifer would cross paths with, and fall in love with, the one person he deliberately placed on Earth. To think otherwise is almost silly.

I agree with u/WarAgile9519

It soured their relationship unfortunately.

Curious about your average daily diet as an American - what do you eat?
 in  r/AskAnAmerican  2d ago

36F brazilian

Breakfast is usually only black coffee but occasionally I’ll drink a smoothy

Lunch, a turkey sandwich, cheese, yogurt, fruits, lots of fruits, basically anything I don’t have to actually make.

Dinner: white rice and beans, tomato’s and steak/chicken/fish. Typical Brazilian food.

If Marilyn did have kids, what do you think would have happened to them?
 in  r/MarilynMonroe  2d ago

What does this even mean? She left Hollywood to live in Connecticut to build a family. She couldn’t have children because she suffered from endometriosis.

Do you feel like social cohesion is getting worse in the context of everyday interactions with strangers in public, or are people the same as they've always been?
 in  r/AskAnAmerican  2d ago

I think people are more distant nowadays, a little colder, but I don’t believe politics is the main reason. Most people around here don’t openly share their political views. I think it has more to do with COVID and the effects of too much social media.

Yale police officer arrested for having photos, videos depicting child sex abuse: PD
 in  r/Connecticut  3d ago

I know you’re being deliberately inflammatory and disingenuous but I’ll bite.

The US legal system exists for a reason, even when the accused is someone we all agree is vile. Suggesting we ‘deport’ American citizens or send them to a private island isn’t justice—it’s just dangerous fascist ideology dressed up as policy. We can demand justice and respect the legal process at the same time.

Lmao I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who’s had issues with the AITA mods. They are insufferable. It’s the only subreddit I’ve ever had problems with.

You know, we have American prisons for people like this… or is that extended to only white criminals these days?

Four episodes into season 3, we're dropping out. Mistake?
 in  r/lucifer  3d ago

While the show is very different from the comics, the characters Lucifer and Amenadiel were adapted from the comics. In fact, there’s even a disclaimer at the start of episodes s4>

That said, the show should’ve distanced itself entirely from the comics— because show Lucifer is not Lucifer Morningstar. I totally understand why comic book fans dislike it, especially since the comics were heavily used to promote the tv show in the beginning.

I loved the show and its characters, especially Lucifer, but I was annoyed back when it premiered too.

Are muslims okay?
 in  r/BlatantMisogyny  5d ago

Absolutely—there’s been a lot of racism and discrimination against Muslims, especially in the aftermath of 9/11. At the same time, I believe it’s important that we’re also able to discuss serious concerns, particularly when it comes to human/women rights issues, especially in countries that enforce sharia law.

Are muslims okay?
 in  r/BlatantMisogyny  5d ago

Why is it we can all criticize Christianity and Christian’s but when it’s Islam people are “Islamophobic” ?

As an atheist, I find all the Abrahamic Religions misogynistic and problematic.

The ending wasn’t my favorite
 in  r/lucifer  7d ago

It kinda sounds like you’re saying generational trauma is a good thing. Rory would’ve learned to be all of those good things with Lucifer as a present father there to guide her.

Mazikeen and lucifer
 in  r/lucifer  7d ago

Their relationship was pretty one-sided. Even though he freed her, Lucifer never really saw Maze as his equal and after millions of years as his servant, I can’t entirely blame him for that. Still, I really wish we got more screen time with the two of them. It would’ve been so interesting to explore Lucifer and Maze’s time in Hell through their conversations.

The ending wasn’t my favorite
 in  r/lucifer  7d ago

It kind of hurt to be honest. I have problems with my own parental abandonment so l’m just feeling to much

I remember right after the show ended, so many people said the same thing. They were devastated—so you’re definitely not alone. The ending was meant to hurt. The worse is the justification for all the pain makes no sense.

I haven’t watched s6 since it aired. For me the show ended at s5.

Waterbury police release photos from inside the home where a man says he was held captive
 in  r/Connecticut  8d ago

Thank you for the link!

This man has spent most of his life locked away from meaningful human connection. He’s going to need a lot of therapy to learn how to relate to others and build healthy relationships. I really hope he gets the support and healing he deserves.

Eve in heaven?
 in  r/lucifer  9d ago

Eve explains in the show that she was “literally created to be someone’s wife” until Lucifer freed her.

Obviously she saw herself a victim (hostage) trapped in a life she never wanted to be in. Why would she feel guilty for trying to escape it?
