One more way we have been divided.

I feel like this is one of the most overlooked points in this often held debate. We get caught up arguing over whether it's feasible to outclass the US military using only guns or whether it's worth the costs that we endure up until that civil war happens, that we forget that the threat of tyranny may come from the gun owners themselves.

Listen to the Second Amendment extremists and then tell me if they're more likely to fight tyranny or support it.

Chuck Schumer literally uses imaginary friends as his advisors for middle-class America (from a 2007 New Yorker profile)

And even then - he fails to understand what truly motivates “The Baileys,” even when they are of his own construction.

This made me laugh. Hilarious.

THAT, is why people call him a Nazi

Yeah, even if he's not a Nazi, people need to stop acting like the allegations are based on nothing.

Better to avoid the situation than to get justice for it afterwards.

You're generally correct, but sometimes you gotta be realistic and know when to pick your battles.

Is trump just hitler part 2?
 in  r/AskCanada  Feb 10 '25

I wouldn't say "Hitler", but he's definitely on his way to becoming a dictator. We already see strong indications he's on his way; we're likely to see more relatively soon.

The citations refer to organizations that arose during the British occupation after WW One; when the area was renamed "Mandatory Palestine." It had been Ottoman Syria.

Did the Arabs use the term or not? Don't shift goalposts.

It matters because there were Palestinian Jews and Palestinian Arabs prior to the UN Partition Plan in 1947, but there was never a Palestinian State.

Does that somehow justify the occupation of the Palestinian territories?
