My take on adoptions
 in  r/Adoption  25d ago

Money needs to be taken out of the equation. Here in the UK adoptions are mostly done through the local authority and the adoptive parents don’t pay anyone to be taken through the adoption process.

If you could bring back to life any celebrity who died too young, who would it be?
 in  r/AskReddit  27d ago

George Michael. I miss him and his crazy weed-driven antics.

Hobby suggestions for someone struggling with depression and anxiety
 in  r/Hobbies  Mar 02 '25

Origami. Loads of brilliant instructional videos online. Reasonably cheap and it’s something you can take and do almost anywhere. I got good enough to be able to make my wife an origami bouquet and all our guests’ buttonholes for our wedding.

Gender identification problems..
 in  r/aspergers  Mar 02 '25

You sound similar to my son. He doesn’t really have a fixed concept when it comes to expressing his own gender. He adopts elements of masculinity and femininity as the mood takes him and I live him for it. And I say ‘him’ because he doesn’t care at all what pronouns people use in relation to himself since it’s something very intrinsic to him. And that’s the template he uses to understand other people’s genders. He would always use ‘they’ to describe a person until he was 100% certain of their preferred pronouns and couldn’t understand why this upset some people.

I’m non binary masc presenting and prefer they, though I’ve been shopping for holiday clothes recently and most have been decidedly more feminine than I would usually go for which has been interesting.

My name is different on my birth certificate, help!
 in  r/LegalAdviceUK  Mar 01 '25

We’ve just been through the process with my son. He’s adopted and decided he wanted a completely different first and second name. We went through the unenrolled option and it couldn’t have been easier. He now has a passport etc in his new name.

What are your thoughts on the Donald trump Zelenskyy conference just now?
 in  r/AskReddit  Mar 01 '25

It was like some bizarre family gathering where Trump was forcing Zelenskyy to say thank you for his Christmas presents and kiss his grandma.
