I woke up covered in blood this morning, but my mom came in and comforted me, telling me it was perfectly natural and would happen roughly once a month.

Guys and girls 40 or over …
 in  r/fitness30plus  1d ago

I'm 40 now and wanted to do this and then went the opposite lol. Went from 15% to 18%. I got back down to 15 though. I just cut way back in my drinking, cut out my night snacks and watch what I put on my plate that's not meat or veg. Another couple months I should be there. I mean...if I had started when I first thought of it I'd be there right now lol

Did I Just Realize Now That Cowboy Bebop Episode 23 References Heaven’s Gate ?
 in  r/cowboybebop  6d ago

I'm 40 and had to look up the hale bop comet. I remember seeing it but couldn't remember how long it was visible. I was thinking it was a week or two but you could see it for 18 months lol. After a while you were just like yup, there it is ...still. Humans have an amazing ability to get used to just about anything haha

I told my kids about it and they're bummed they won't get a chance to see it. I left out the mass suicide.

My First Full Marathon
 in  r/Garmin  6d ago

Mine changed mine from 185 to 192. It also had adjusted it to 185 so not sure what the deal was haha. Got a new lactic threshold yesterday as well because I ran two miles in under 15 minutes so now I'm curious what my zones are going to be

Stopped at the gas station to put air in my tires. I needed quarters so I went inside. The cashier cracked open a roll and half of them were 1962.
 in  r/CRH  7d ago

When I cashed out my childhood account when I moved in 2006 I got the last quarter in the drawer and it was 1925. Or 1928. I'll have to find it and look again.

This is 55.
 in  r/GenX  7d ago

My cholesterol got up to 214 and I started doing a lot of low hr running and got it down to 148. I've been running a lot again the last few months I should get that checked again. I'm also going beer less and try to do just in the afternoon if I can so it is out of my system by the time I go to sleep.

A missing diver has been miraculously rescued by his own family after being swept away by the current near the Florida Keys.
 in  r/nextfuckinglevel  10d ago

I read shadow divers last year. I never want to scuba After reading that. That and my aunt in law had a friend getting certified for night diving and she panicked and surfaced too fast and died.

The laptop my college is advertising students to buy…
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  14d ago

I went to college from 2002-2006 and they came out with a laptop for student when I was a junior. You had to get it it was included in the tuition. If you got it at a sophomore you got to keep it when you graduated. If you were a sophomore you could exchange it for a new one before you graduated. But juniors and seniors had to pay extra to keep it. I believe for me as a junior it was 600 to keep it and at the time I couldve bought a better laptop for the 600 so I turned it back in. It's just as well because I stayed at my buddy's house shortly before turning it in and his dog pooped on the keyboard.

When is too old?
 in  r/RunningWithDogs  14d ago

Ah we've only ever done road runs. Maybe I should get her into a trail. She does usually run in the leaves/side of road and not on the actual road though.

Our lab will be 11 this year and can do 4 if I go really slow and is okay with two. Although she never really went farther than 4 anyway. She was good for 5ks more often but was always tuckered by the end

I finally managed to crack the 4.0 level for anerobic.
 in  r/Garmin  15d ago

I was going 1 minute sprints and then walk or stop until my HR just dips into z1. Sometimes that's two minutes or less but this day it was a little longer. I'm not sure if I have to let it get that low but this was the only time I got a 4 haha

I finally managed to crack the 4.0 level for anerobic.
 in  r/Garmin  15d ago

As the other person said, it's not haha but I have it set for hr. i don't really follow them but sometimes they like up close. I usually just follow the fields for low and high aerobic and anerobic. I do low aerobic usually but when one of the other two start to dip I'll do one of those.

During the week I have maybe 40 minutes before my kids come home and then I just do longer runs on the weekend. Did an hour and 11 minutes today. Going to try an hour or 1.5 of some high aerobic tomorrow. Because my high aerobic has some space in it haha

The trick was to run 4 miles at my low hr goal and then do my 12 1 minute sprints while my kids had soccer practice haha

Nintendo April 2, 2025

My boys will be happy. Our newest system is the 360 lol and the Wii. I didn't want to get a switch with how old it was. They've been saving up their allowance. I might have them each pitch in 100 and then cover the rest.

this is just evil
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  16d ago

Damn. I don't think I'd rebuild it either. I've been playing emulators with save states and if I play for 15 minutes and hit the wrong buttons and load up the previous save instead of saving it I just play something else because I don't feel like doing it again lol

I can't imagine years of work down the drain like that.

Local arcade won’t cash in my thousand tickets because they stopped giving out prizes. They said “Tickets are just for fun.”
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  20d ago

I opened a box from my childhood and found an old origami box I made. Opened it up and there were hundreds of tickets from the two arcades I went to growing up. No idea what I was saving up for lol

Does your Amazon delivery driver hate you this much?
 in  r/PublicFreakout  22d ago

I don't order stuff from chewy that often but every so often I get a 20% coupon and I order like 5 things of the 38 pound cat litter because it saves a bit of money and I don't have to get it. I'm sure they hate me once a year too but, yeah, they have the option to deliver it.

I loved this one pair of merrels and after being burned because they changed styles so fast when I saw them on sale I bought 2 pairs. That was like 8 years ago and I still have one unworn pair. I still wear the first pair occasionally.
