could I connect my rumble 40 combo to a rumble cab?
 in  r/BassGuitar  20h ago

That is a home combo with amp that powers only speaker housed in the combo-cab.

Line out on the back is not powered, it's a line lever signal so no, it won't be able to drive an external passive cab.

Unless you want to open that combo, disconnect the internal speaker, and then connect it to an external one, then I guess you could theoretically do that, but I don't think you should.

Rtx 5070 or 3090 for reverb g2
 in  r/HPReverb  20h ago

3090s are power hungry and het toasty hot with back vram often not cooled properly. I'd go with 5070 unless you are planning on running some texture heavy titles, modded 4K Skyrim packs and the like, or maybe if you want to dabble in home-LLM stuff.

Routing IEMs
 in  r/livesound  4d ago

can I connect the Yamaha to the Scarlett and use the 4 mic inputs on the Yamaha and the mic inputs on the Scarlett and connect the IEM transmitter to the scarlet instead of the mixer?

Yes, you can do that if by connecting you mean getting audio from Yamaha to Scarlet and not some USB-USB connection (no such thing exists afaik).

My IEM isnt working well
 in  r/livesound  4d ago

Turn off the transmitter and turn on only your body pack.

XSW doesn't have a scan feature, but you can manually change frequency on the bodypack and look at the RF bars. The more bars the worse that frequency is in this particular place and time. Find frequency with lowest amount of bars and then turn on transmitter and see if it helps.

.

It also sounds a bit distorted.

Check how loud the signal is that is going into the transmitter, it may be clipping right at the entry.

My bag of chips was double filled
 in  r/mildlyinteresting  4d ago

I love this because every single time I mention package size is this big just to fool you into thinking subconsciously that you are buying more and also as bigger canvas for advertisement on the shelf, some simpleton comes along to tell me it's actually because otherwise chips would get crumpled.

Regular package could be easily half as big as it is now, be pumped, and it would still protect those chips just fine. I knew it and now we have proof of that.

How much watts is enough to cut through the band setting?
 in  r/BassGuitar  4d ago

It's not about the wattage per se, but more about SPL, speaker area, and how loud rest of the band is.

100W continuous valve amp with lets say 4x10 high sensitivity speakers, will be louder than 500W peak transistor one with 1x15 cone and 85dB sensitivity.

Nintendo Switch 2 specs: 1080p 120Hz display, 4K dock, mouse mode, and more | Finally, some specs.
 in  r/gadgets  4d ago

BOTW and TOTK, for example, will have upgrade packs (you pay for) that unlock 4k at 60hz and HDR for the games.

Oh yes please, I've been looking at those youtube online emulated gameplays at 60fps and they look amazing. With 4K and HDR it will be incredible!

Reviewers report GeForce RTX 5090 for laptops is 50 percent slower than desktop version
 in  r/gadgets  7d ago

so consumers don't get confused or mislead.

That is the entire reason they did it, it's not as if someone accidentally leaned on a keyboard at nVidia HQ and pressed 90 instead of 80. They know exactly what they are doing.

Reviewers report GeForce RTX 5090 for laptops is 50 percent slower than desktop version
 in  r/gadgets  7d ago

You’re talking about technology from almost 10 years ago.

..to make a point that your argument of mobile being worse than desktop is being invalid, since "desktop more powerful than mobile" wasn't always the case.

.

It's not about technology, it's about naming things. If it performs as 80 card it should be named 80 card, regardless if it is 1000 2000 or 6000 series.

What’s a widely accepted opinion that you actually think is completely wrong?
 in  r/AskReddit  7d ago

Depends on definition that you yourself decide to use, it might be the first nail or it might be the last one, but that still doesn't make it a paradox.

What’s a widely accepted opinion that you actually think is completely wrong?
 in  r/AskReddit  7d ago

This one I never understood as well.

You can look at it 2 ways - either you go the percentage route in which case it is his ship if it is over 50% of original parts, or you go the ownership route in which case percentage doesn't matter and his ship is the one that he owns at any given time. Neither of those is a paradox to me.

It is a lot, just looking at it feels like A1 vs A1mini difference, that is quite a lot, and I've never seen someon compaining that those two are barely the same volume.

Jeff Geerling - I won't connect my dishwasher to your stupid cloud (Bosch dishwashers requires internet for rinse cycle and other basic features)

I wish I could pay them with money that require internet access, like I am the one deciding if sometime in the future that money is still legal tender.

Valve Index 20 meters cable plan
 in  r/ValveIndex  14d ago

OG Rift was on HDMI, lower resolution, and much lower Hz, Index requires more bandwidth than that, hence DP, and those have even more limitations in max lenght.

Valve Index 20 meters cable plan
 in  r/ValveIndex  14d ago

Are you sure this will actually even work for VR, meaning the headset won't lose sync or something?

For regular monitor and regular usage or even pancake gaming, having let's say 40ms in latency isn't bad, but I don't think it would work for Index, plus you also have to extend USB and that is another problem.

Heating is Not Drying 🤔

Filament dryers have their own power supply, I wonder how much power can go through that regular P1/X1 AMS connector.

Heating is Not Drying 🤔
 in  r/BambuLab  15d ago

This is one of the most bizarre things ever, bonkers really, someone had to design that filament dryer, make a model, fit components, and then you go to comment section on the amazon and it is like:

.

"This dryer is neat and all, but you have to keep the lid slightly open or else the moisture will stay trapped inside the dryer"

.

Like seriously what the actual f..
