Try Reason.com too. The libertarians have a good thing going there and often talk guns

Emil Lilleberg (TBL) has yet to score a goal in 105 career games, passing William Lagesson for the most among active players.

Can you imagine if he ends up with only playoff goals? It would be worth trying for

How to be social in mid 30s?
 in  r/AskMenOver30  8d ago

Do you like mechs? You might consider finding a group of men in their 30s at your local game store. Battletech is not complicated, it’s not expensive, it requires a little geekiness but it’s tanks shooting other tanks. It’s a nice community. Not perfect but nice enough and approachable. There will be some overly zealous folks but lots of newbies at the moment so it’s a good time to get started. There may well be drinking and going over for bbqs at some point with other like minded mech enthusiasts.

People is doing a lot of work here. Darkfriends and thieves. Nothing unusual about it or particularly tyrannical.

Guys, I crave political fantasy. Please, give some of your best recommendations that are not from RR Martin or Abercrombie

Highly recommend number two on this list, The Hands of the Emperor.

You will not be disappointed.

Chaffee’s Role 📉
 in  r/TampaBayLightning  13d ago

He’s got the energy for it. I think Kuch’s ability to stay out long minutes is better though because he’s not an all out skater, well, ever. Hagel is almost all out 1x a shift.

The Most Complex Fantasy Character In A Book or Series?
 in  r/Fantasy  16d ago

I came to say Rand too. His arc is not as appreciated as it should be. He is farm boy and king. Possessed and possessor. He’s one man and two. He’s abandoned child and son of a good man.

Recommend me a long-impact fantasy novel that you can't stop thinking about.
 in  r/Fantasy  21d ago

Wheel of Time, Lions of Al Rassan, Riddlemaster of Hed.

Nynaeve in the inn makes me cry every time and I’m a grown man. It’s love and duty and honor and cleverness.

The last scenes with the two main characters. The feels are real.

The magic, the pain of loss, the desperate struggle, the betrayal, the journey. Riddlemaster is so excellent.

Honorable mention to Tamsin Muir and Gideon the 9th.

Looking for Fantasy books where its so far into the future technology has collapsed and the world is "starting over"

The one Shannaran one where they are fighting a computer that’s a dungeon is a fun influence to LitRPG style “the dungeon is a thinking machine”

Ah St Perry. Unless you have had him on your team, there is no understanding the love for this gem of a man.
