No lipo TT
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  5h ago

My surgeon said he did lipo. I don’t notice any evidence of it. I look amazing. Either my lipo was expertly done or he didn’t do it🤪. I didn’t have much swelling. Honestly the most swelling I had was first three days full body. Arms legs too. I did self lymphatic massage from the first week. I was in my regular clothes by a month

How do you, other people, react to things instantly? How do you instantly know how to console a crying person?
 in  r/self  6h ago

As a person that is normally accused of being mean ( my face and I generally don’t want to talk) I’ve had people cry to me sooooo many times. Not sure how they felt like the grumpy lady is the one to cry to. And no the cries weren’t about me🤣

I always let them cry as long as they need to.

More often than not I tell them it’s normal to cry . seriously it is and will probably help release some emotions

Let them say whatever they need to.

Don’t offer solutions unless I can fix it

Keep their privacy don’t talk about it with others

Keep a level calming voice

Try to smile when they are coming out of it

The hardest thing to do is not cry myself when talking them through it. 🥹

Calling in sick for a full week, coming back with a wicked tan. How else should I handle this?
 in  r/careerguidance  18h ago

Mine asks for this after 3 days. We can’t return without it.

Breast lift garments
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  23h ago

I was sent home in a bra. It was a front snap type thing. I was also bandaged up in a few ways. I didn’t need a regular bra for a month or more. I used loose fitting sports bras. I didn’t buy regular bras until I was fully healed and those stitches stopped coming out.

Agree with all but I think there’s a little more life in the Pete joke. I don’t think they’ve run it to death yet. IMO

Foot swelling 4 months PO for thigh lift
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  2d ago

Yes the feet swelling is more or less constant. It’s been this way for about ten years. But for me what I mentioned originally reduces the frequency. I’m more normal than swollen these days but I’ve determined I cannot sit at a desk for hours on end. Driving for a few hours causes it too. I know how to trigger it. stress literally swells me up.

Also I forgot vibration therapy as well. It’s lifelong swelling for me so lifelong management. I didn’t always have it.

Also I do the massages myself. No way I have the time to go regularly and will not pay 100 for someone to do it. Since my tummy tuck, I’ve not had any additional swelling. And I never had swelling around my incision. I basically do full body lymph massage in the shower or when putting on lotion for the day

Edit to add. I workout a lot. Walking, hiking, gym cardio machines , jogging when my back agrees. Pilates and heavy weight lifting. I don’t wear dress shoes much. I prefer athletic shoes, mainly so I can walk with purpose but also the other shoes (heels) might trigger a swell

Has anyone ever had experiences with passed on pets?
 in  r/Ghosts  2d ago

I just posted mine! So weird. I wasn’t even thinking about my pet. I wasnt even in the same room I used when he was alive.

 in  r/Ghosts  2d ago

Yes! I’ve felt pressure in the bed. Felt like dog moving from one side. Hopping over my feet then back up the other side. The same movements like my pet would do. By the time i remembered . That he was dead for at least 20 years. I jolted up. It’s happened three times. All three times the same familiar sensation of my childhood pet snuggling at night.

Are you talking about since the show started? Carol and Chris? Who else died on the property since the start?

Chris the Dino Stripper might also be disappearing like Pete and Joan as a “Roamer”

Foot swelling 4 months PO for thigh lift
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  2d ago

I generally have lower body swelling issues, specifically the feet. Even before surgery I had this. What works is elevation, exercise, hydration, compression, and massaging my legs towards my groin area. Not hard deep tissue stuff, but soft like if you were rubbing a baby’s back while they slept. This is basically moving fluid through your lymph system. If you find that you are peeing right after, it’s working.

Be prepared for a lot of comments about what I just said 🤷🏽‍♀️ people don’t fancy lymphatic talk around here😜

Jason seemed to be the only one in specific attire. Monk junk if you will.

I kept looking for the wfh outfit. Mine is yoga pants, mismatched socks and a shirt I probably got from donating blood or a running a 5 k.

🤨Reminds me of the Winchester widow. But also if we take floorboards out of floor are they still floor?

Chris said something about being in the air. Something like it doesn’t apply in the air. Maybe you are right.

Swelling Problems - Lymphatic Massage
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  3d ago

I was talking about the fun that is putting on the faja. There is more manipulation in that for me than a lymphatic massage. You can literally do a lymphatic massage on a sleeping baby and they wouldn’t notice.

Generally the lymphatic massage is gentle. You get more pressure putting on a faja.

Pricing Too High?
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  6d ago

I paid 17 for ett (hip to hip) with muscle repair and. Breast lift. I’m in Houston . I went to a surgery center went home the same day.

1

Would you do it again?
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  6d ago

Yes!!!! I still can’t sneeze or cough right but yes. Surgery was July of last year

2

Please help
 in  r/tummytucksurgery  6d ago

I’ve never experienced this. I had my ett in July. I do daily lymph massages (probably even three times a day) self massages . I’ll add that my scar is also lower though, right above the mons pubis. So gravity and my incision placement could help me.
