Texting, Weed and Sing-Alongs: Four Radical Ideas for Bringing New Audiences to Movie Theaters
 in  r/entertainment  7d ago

I pay $20 a month to go to all the movies I can handle at AMC which is your theater chain because that’s where you see Kidman. Regal has the same offer. And there is always moviepass. $20 a month will get you 2-3 movies a month with moviepass so it’s not nearly the same deal but it’s still saving a little bit.

So bad you walked out of the theatre before it ended.

Whats the scariest, unnerving psychological movie you’ve watched?

The Father. I left the theater and cried in my car. I had to call my brother. I’m 40. It’s a terrifying movie.

Worst fight I’ve ever seen. Both guys came out looking like bad fighters. Netflix is a joke.

I guess you missed the part where she admitted to having OCD. Or maybe you missed the part where she said she was having an anxiety attack in the back of the cop car. Now I’m no doctor, but those do seem like mental health issues. Actually I just looked it up and OCD is a for sure mental disorder. Hope that helped.

This incredible, riveting, film that will be remembered for generations, just won 0 Oscars out of its 10 nominations.

It’s all subjective but I didn’t have KOTFM winning anything except art design and even that was a stretch. For me there were just better films to reward.

The part where Barry learns that corrupting the timeline can lead to devastation so he decides not to save his mom…. Then he immediately corrupts the timeline to save his dad.

How are people not sick and tired of superhero movies yet?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  Jul 14 '22

IMO OP is pretty clueless. Yes there are more Comic Book movies made now more than ever. But, there are also more original films made now more than ever. I triple dog dare anyone to check the stats. In 2018 I got moviepass and eventually AMC A-list, as of today I have seen 411 movies since that date. Of the 411 films I have seen in theaters since March 2018 only 29 have been comic book related. Let me repeat that out of the 411 films I have seen in theaters, there were only 29 based on comics. Add 10 more in case I messed up the count and that means 10% of all movies released in theaters have been comic book movies. My issue with posts like this is that original movies are flopping by and large. So the same people that complain about comic book movies tend to not support original movies. How many of you went out and saw Brian and Charles this year? Ok, you’re not into indie comedy, how many of you went out and saw Elvis, The Forgiven, The Black Phone or Mr Malcolm’s List? I saw all of them at the theater. Anyone pre buy tickets to Mrs. Harris goes to Paris or Where The Crawdad sings, both releasing today? My bet is those movies won’t make anything compared to the second week of Thor. If you want more original content then quit whining and go out and see the ones released. Focusing on the 10% while ignoring the other 90% is downright ignorant IMO. BTW I am only talking theatrical movies, but if you wanna count streaming then Netflix, Hulu, AppleTv and Amazon all put out original movies on a near weekly basis and none of them are comic book movies. Again I invite anyone to prove me wrong.

Mad Max looks insane

Where are all the people in Horizon Zero Dawn, where are all the people in walking dead saints and sinners. Your complains were genre based. If you would have said the driving was bad I wouldn’t have said anything. That’s a gameplay comment and it’s different for all of us. You legit just don’t understand what an apocalypse would do to life on earth. Also there is source material they were following. The world had already been established through multiple films. Your response should have been good point I guess I just don’t like games that take place during an apocalypse. You are the one who posed questions in your review so I answered them. Drink some milk and stop crying.

Actually my comment made perfect sense and argued all of your points. You said “where is everyone”. Silly goose they all died that’s what an apocalypse is. You also said what’s with all the scrapping. Well if the world died there is no shopping or ordering on amazon you have to roll your sleeves up and get to work. The game shows you there are no resources besides scrap and oil. Do you remember the eating maggots or drinking rain water parts. Or the groups of people that would approach Max and beg him for water throughout the game. I only wrote one line because it answered all of your critiques. I played this game about the apocalypse and I just wish it was like gta ya know. Mouth breather

“b-b-but lightsabers should instantly kill”
 in  r/FallenOrder  Apr 27 '20

Nope totally wrong. A Wooden STICK can block a LIGHTSABER in fallen order, that’s so stupid. Cal can barely jump off the ground and he is supposedly a Jedi, It’s completely nonsensical as if the game doesn’t follow the physics already set forth by the films, shows, and books. It’s a rip off horrible game that just steals components from other popular games. Dark Souls, Shadow of the Colossus, and Uncharted. But honestly I don’t even care if the game is good or not it’s not Star Wars and that annoys me. So pissed that a bought the hype and wasted money on this crap game.
