It’s implied that if you read material that isn’t outdated you would find this information pretty easily.

Go read/watch his recent material. Not 8 year old pieces. You’re just pretending to be an intellectually moral person while referencing the oldest shit out there, it’s pathetic.

Me [38 M] with my wife [37 F] of 8 years. Both committed adultery. Trying to see how to move forward

I stopped reading at the part where you promised your schizophrenic friend who is losing his teeth that he can suck your dick eventually

I [21 M] have been cheated on by basically every girl I have dated. How should I go forward in the future.
 in  r/relationships  Apr 26 '18

Pick better girls. At this point I’d question whether you pick “good girls” to date or not.

My(35) girlfriend(31) just financed an iphoneX---this really bothers me.
 in  r/relationships  Apr 26 '18

Is she really spending too much money? I get the feeling you’re a little money pincher like me. Ya can’t expect your girl to be the same way, might have to loosen up. That being said, can giver her the ol Ramsey book. Maybe she doesn’t want to change, then you gotta decide whether you can handle that or not.

I’m in love with somebody on the opposite side of the world (21M) (20F)

Live like 10k from my fiancé, if you think it’s worth it then just do it. Take at least 1 trip a year and hang out.

Im going to take what someone said, misquote it, disregard Ben saying he has had views in the past which are wrong and have changed over time (you are referencing an article from 2017 which references points from 2010), make some generic insults (emotional idiot), provide an article which while potentially valid, obviously completely one sided, also disregard that you can agree with some views but not all, and just call anyone who likes him an idiot.

Yea, you’re so much smarter and more morally sound than all these stupid libertarians!

Thousands of teachers in Arizona, Colorado to protest
 in  r/news  Apr 26 '18

And instead of protesting the change to where unqualified people can become a teacher, they are protesting the pay. So now we will have unqualified teachers that get paid more. Where as if people were upset and required the teachers to have masters (for example) then the state would by proxy be forced to pay more in order to fill those positions... except in that case we don’t have these unqualified teachers.

It’s just economics, supply and demand. I don’t have enough information to tell you why your company isn’t handing out raises.

No, it has hotels and restaurants and stuff. You’re probably thinking of North Korea and their magnificent fake hotel

If people actually want change - quit being teachers. Only way teachers will get paid more is if you decrease the supply of teachers.. when we start running low we will pay them more..

Half of the working adults in the USA make 30k or less, 40% of that number are closer to 20k, and 70% are under 50k. If one takes the time to look at a population density map, and a cost of living calculator, it's easy to see that these wages don't buy a reasonable quality of life in these places.
 in  r/Economics  Apr 25 '18

Actually, I didn’t say anything about the income disparity. I just said this data doesn’t support OP’s title. He’s misinterpreting this data.

Sorry, you’re just an idiot and believe anything anyone throws in a title and links with a .gov is correct. Maybe OP is right, maybe not, but his link certainly doesn’t say what he claims it does.

You like what it says so who cares if it’s accurate right? Yea, and I’m the dumb one.

Thank you, I said something to this effect somewhere way buried in the comments. Lil jimmy working part time at Wendy’s during high school would be included in this chart, “living off 10k” a year as OP puts it.

It can include high schoolers, college kids and a wife who works part time for extra cash. These people do not “live on 20k”. It can include part time gigs for people who have a primary job at a factory or something. They do not “live off 20k”. It uses W2’s from employers which I got W2’s working 20 hours/week at the old Wendy’s but I lived with my parents so I was not “living off 10k”.

Drawing the conclusion that someone is “living off 20k” with this article is a misrepresentation of the data.

Yes vague, he links an article to national wage average, doesn’t provide what data he is comparing it to, and then draws the conclusion that this isn’t enough to live on. How do I know we are comparing the same things? Vague. He isn’t even comparing it to cost of living or some other number which differs by city and area, just saying “30k isn’t enough to live on”. So yea it’s complicated, but this post does nothing except show me the wage average and draws a conclusion which I don’t know how they reached.

Edit: for everyone saying you can’t live on 20k anywhere. This data is based off W2’s. You get a W2 working at McDonald’s in high school, college, or a mom making some extra cash on the side working 20/hours a week. These people are included in here. They don’t live on 20k. They’re included in the data though. Everyone is assuming this data is people who live by themselves alone, work 40 hours a week, when this is not the case. Major oof on the conclusion they reached. You can’t reach any meaningful conclusion from just this raw data, and OP doesn’t understand his own post.
