Is it okay if I (24M) never share my kink with my partner (23F) because I'm afraid it's too weird?
 in  r/relationship_advice  4d ago

this is the risk of vulnerability. no one can tell you how she will react. But if you get too far along in this relationship without risking vulnerability, no, that's not really ok. For you, I mean. It's scary because there's a risk there. All these responses have told you it's not a big deal, but there is still risk there. The trust and security of a real relationship can only come if you know the other person accepts you completely. And you can only find that out by being vulnerable. And there is a risk to that.

How true do you feel the Chris Rock quote on love is?--- "Only women, children, and dogs are loved unconditionally. A man is only loved under the condition that he provide something"
 in  r/AskMen  5d ago

Men have invented the idea that this happens only to men.

Everything you are saying happens to women too.

When women cry in front of men, for example. That's your example, right? Men are told, it's ok to cry, we won't hold it against you well actually WE WILL, CRUELLY!! Haha.

When women crt, the same thing happens. We ARE seen as weak. Or manipulators. Or both.

Showing vulnerability and having it backfire is NOT limited to men.

Men have invented the idea that it only happens to them, and it's insulting honestly.

where have men invented this idea that emotional vulnerability is only used against them? Every woman you know has covered to some level of being raped or molested, harassed, and had it thrown in her face later. Every. Woman. In your life.

Let's settle Spike and Angel's argument: if cavemen and astronauts got into a fight, who would win?
 in  r/buffy  6d ago

True story: before filming started, this was written on the whiteboard of the writer's room and they would periodically fire up the debate.

Is this app just a scam for men?

Swiping to the limit is exactly incorrect.

"I do everything right" - why do you think that? If based on nothing but results surely you can see that you did now.

why halos in renaissance paintings look like plates???????
 in  r/ArtHistory  Feb 01 '25

They were showing off. If your neighboring town had a boring old church with flat stuff icons and yours looks literally real to people, you're going to get the crowds and donations on Sundays.

 in  r/ArtHistory  Feb 01 '25

Advances in understanding of how a disc looks in perspective allowed artists to begin to rotate the halo in the space, adding a sense of realism to the scene. You must remember that mathematical perspective did not exist until shortly before this.

How can we preserve Brooklyn during and after the raids?
 in  r/Brooklyn  Feb 01 '25

I do predict a rise in communal living endeavors/ more cults, because people are desperate and will be taken advantage of by capitalists and cultists alike.

 in  r/Brooklyn  Feb 01 '25

when all this happened? You wanna check your data on that. You wanna check who has been choking the judiciary to create a decades long backlog for legal immigration?

I know that you don't want to do that, because "bidun illegals hotels hur hur" is much easier for you.

I mean yes there are many things individual people can do.

But affecting the housing crisis is frankly out of our control.

the migrants who were/are shipped from Texas and put up in hotels. Are. Legal. Immigrants. They are/were following the legal pathways.

The people who made it so that the wait time for those people to get their hearings be years away are... Republicans. They wanted this, they wanted every step along the way. They made every decision that ended in the picture you "remember"

And you fell for the claim that everything they did was someone else's fault.

the only things that would help are things no politician is willing to do now, as this is all already happening anyway, they know, and they like it.
