Any daycare recommendations, located anywhere between Eagle and SE Boise? Any idea of cost for a 18 mo, and a almost 3yo? I don't need it yet but I will next spring and wanted to get sort of an idea.

I use one near Amity and Cole. It's an in home. She feeds breakfast, lunch, and I believe snack for $25 per day. Hours are 730 to 530. PM for contact info or more details.

I've heard absolutely great things about Marina Daycare on 28th and Hill Road. Not sure if they have openings though, but an excellent option.
Another place is near Albertsons on State Street and Gary Lane called Early Learning Childcare. Apparently they get good scores on daycare inspections.

When you find one you like you can use this site to look at their inspection records https://secure.cdhd.idaho.gov/cdhpublic/LicenseBrowser.aspx

Is it me, or has the weather this December been abnormally wet and cold?

I was thinking up until the last couple weeks it had been weirdly dry and warm

What ever happened to the Ramen Ping Pong place that was delayed? Is it still opening?

"Boise Fry Company Nope! We had some issues to work out, we are looking at 2017 for sure for an open. Will will make an announcement in the next couple months! Sorry for the delay"

Drove down there this morning with my wife specifically for their veggie benny. Best benny in all the land!

Red Feather does a good one, as does Juniper. There is a crab cake eggs benedict at The Griddle, but I think Cottonwood Grille does it better. You didn't mention crab cakes... I just really like crab cakes.

Are you saying they replace the English muffin with a crab cake?
My girlfriend wants to find best eggs benedict. We went to Chef's Hut yesterday and she said they were okay. First time there and will recommend for breakfast.

Goldy's is the BEST! Followed closely by Bardenay and The Griddle.

Fiance and I are doing a dual bachelor/bachlorette party with a couple younger friends that don't/can't drink for the first half of the day, then ditching them (kindly) for more adult fun. Any suggestions? We love things like the Boise Escape rooms, things like NERFed, etc.! Any suggestions for where to go afterwards for some classy drinks?

I would look for events already happening that day. Red Light Variety Show is going on mid-January. Do you have a date picked out?

Anyone know of a good professional network installer? Need to outfit an older building with a wifi mesh network and am looking for a reliable team. Have been burned in the past with people that underestimate the scale of the project.

There's no way to tell you exactly what you need to know. The conditions change from day to day and change as the elevation changes. It could be dry all the way if we get a few sunny days, or it could be a white knuckle nightmare. Or something in between.

Any place to find how much snow accumulation we've had on the valley floor? Or compare it to regular snowfall? I swear we haven't had this much snow stay on the ground in like ten years.

u/michaelquinlan West Boise Dec 25 '16
A quick google search turns up these sources which answer some of your questions.
Current accumulation: about 9" (at the Boise airport) (http://www.idahostatesman.com/news/weather/article122834854.html)
On average, December has 2.4 days with accumulation over 5" and 0.2 days with accumulation over 10" (https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/Idaho/Places/boise-snowfall-totals-snow-accumulation-averages.php).
The last page says it gets its data from here (https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/normals/usnormals.html)

Thank you you a whole bunch! Merry Christmas! I was getting results but they were kind of national maps that honestly were barely specific from the valley floor and the foothills/owyhees. You're the best

Anyone know a good breakfast/brunch place that's open on Christmas? Had plans to leave town but weather kept us in so we're trying to make the most of our new plans.

I'm from the Midwest and wondering why there are no snow plows out here? I understand that this snow probably won't stay long, but why not plow the major roads?
