Intermediate Too empty?
I’m thinking there’s something missing here, maybe. My husband says it’s done.
Things I could add:
1- flip flops on the tiles 2- make a few tiles look wet, as if someone has climbed out or jumped in 3- feet or legs swimming off the painting in the bottom 4- a white pool border (extra set of tiles)
Any other suggestions are welcome.
But essentially, what do you think?
I usually prefer my paintings to have a sense of mystery/uneasiness in them, so I like the “not sure how far away/big this is meant to be” aspect, which would essentially be ruined by adding objects that would create a scale.

Beginner Need advice on this digital drawing!
The biggest things I noticed: I struggled a lot with the clothing and I feel like it looks awful, the hand position doesn’t make sense with the angle of the wrist, I don’t think I did well rendering the hair and I feel like it might be too close in value to the background, I was also told that the lipstick on her hand looks like her nails and makes it look like her fingers are backwards
Would love advice on how to improve for my next piece, also general advice on digital art would be great since I don’t have much experience with it

Beginner Trying to find a voice - or a subject matter - or something?
Hello! I am very new to drawing, but I’m absolutely in love with it. Up until three months ago the best I could draw would be a box or a basic chair. My problem is that I can only draw what I see. Which means all of my drawings are of everyday, relatively boring objects. I am not going for realism - I would like to be an expressive drawer. If you have any suggestions for subject matter or something else that would lend itself to a “voice” in my drawings, I would appreciate it. As well as an honest critique of some recent work.

Beginner These are some hand studies I did, and I was hoping for crtique. A couple of months into this, do you think I have consistency in my style?

Beginner I See The Differences Between The Reference Images Of How I Want To And Don’t Want To Draw, But Not With My Own Drawings. What Am I Doing Wrong?
It feels weird for some reason. The images of how I do wanna draw don't feel weird. But my drawings feel weird. I don't know why. Please be super specific and don't hold back any advice. My feelings won't be hurt.

Intermediate I call this "Fireball", what do you think about the shadows
I made this with Krita, I'm not really good at shadows so I was wandering how well do you think this piece turned out. Is there anything I could do better ?. Any other criticism/advice you wanna share ?

Intermediate Is there anything about my art that sticks out to you, negatively or positively? Be it character design, art style, or proportions?
I usually design characters, but I’m trying to branch out a bit

Beginner More pose practice with basic shapes. What do you guys think?
Tried to use different shapes for the hips and ribcage. the boxy feet stayed tho, but then again, at some places, the feet are different.

Intermediate Is there anything majorly off here? Any advice on whatever at all that you pick up would be appreciated!
This is a portrait piece of Raven from the Teen Titans wearing Piccolo's outfit from dragon ball (because why not!) I've included the original reference as well.
I have obviously broken away from the style of the series here and I'm experimenting with things such as line weights and colour (I usually work in monotone) and different types of shading; the paper I used was poor quality and was tearing bits off during the colouring process (don't buy seabrighton sketchbooks) but anyway any advice at all or even just your overall thoughts would be appreciated!

Intermediate What could I have done better?
Needless to say 1st photo is my painting lmao
I wasn't necessarily trying to copy the reference or anything, just using it as a guideline.
Palatte knife painting done in acrylic, please let me know what you think about any aspect of the work as I am looking for open criticism on technique for palette knife painting. I definitely feel like the foreground is lacking personally. Like I said, let me know what you think!!

Intermediate Critique some random sketchbook pages from me
Intermediate Hiii ..first time here...I wanna hear your feedback on this artwork I just finished..
For context.I didn't use a reference and I actually drew the sketch on paper then scanned it and decided to color it digitally (afraid to ruin the paper version lol) ...I drew and colored this on a whim so I'm aware it looks unfinished and that I could do better but I decided to leave the raw version and maybe later redraw it all over. I would like to hear your feedback on my anatomy (considering I didn't use a reference),the coloring lighting and shadows, and if you feel it tells a story, and maybe if you could rate it overall... Thanks for taking the time ;)
