Ive chosen the disc path many times and im wondering if having too many of them will affect me in any way? Is it better to take the L at this point or disc (if it happens again) ?

Let's say theoretically i skipped all mt classes from the start of the semester and didnt go to the midterms or quizzes, is it possible to learn catchup on the material and do decent on the final if I fully focus on only this class for a whole week?

Did anyone else see that one super aggressive bald guy the other day who was on the green line to guy concordia. He was verbally harassing and threatening multiple people. One of them was a girl half his size who was terrified almost crying. He then physically attacked some other guy before getting off at guy-Concordia. You’d think being right by the university these places should be safer for students to be around.
EDIT: Wednesday morning The guy also looked pretty healthy, maybe a bit big but definitely didn’t look like a junkie.

Hey everyone :) I was wondering if anyone has any info about the final exam—like what's covered or if there's a study guide floating around? I’ve been sick and missed a few classes, and I’m writing the final in a few days. Just trying to pull my grade up, so any help would be super appreciated!

Got 64 on the assignment somehow even though my balance at the end perfectly balanced. Then on top of that we can’t even review the assignment to learn from it. Emailed the teacher and says she’s gone till the 16th, god I’m loving this school. Pay so much for what…
How did you guys do?

Are the mock exams the school provides, in this case 201, the same difficulty as the real exam normally? If I do well on the mock is that a good sign I will succeed on the real one?

Taking COMP 335 (Intro to theoretical computer science) over the summer and wondering how difficult the class is in the summer time?

Hey y’all! I’m a ‘journalist’ with CJLO 1690AM, a local community radio station here in Montreal. I just got media accreditation to cover the upcoming leadership debate, and I believe (inshallah) I’ll get to ask two questions post debate. As members of Canada’s student community, what issues matter most to you? What questions would you want answered?

Hi, I’m a first year aero engr and taking 213,242,233 and 211(drawing) and I genuinely don’t know how to prepare for my finals. Since the 233 is worth 75% of my grade should I go all out on that one and wing the others? 242 is the one I have my lowest grade in (average of midterms 50( I was super sick on the first midterm so I got 25% but got 75 % on the second) , should I focus more on that ? or focus on acing 213 which I average 94 and 211 where I’m at like an 88 ? What I would do , correct me if I’m wrong, I would focus on 233 so I can ace it , wing 211 , focus on 242 and wing 213 somewhat. Help or resources would be super appreciated. Thanks !

Hey everyone, I’m currently sitting at a 2.1 GPA, and I’m really struggling with COMP 248 this semester. I’m not confident I’ll pass or do well, and it’s stressing me out a lot. The thing is, COMP 248 is a prerequisite for a bunch of other courses I need to take next year, and both COMP 248 and COMP 249 (which follows it) are foundational for the rest of my program.
COMP 249 is offered in both the fall and winter, but the fall professor is known to be way better. The winter prof has a reputation for being much tougher and harder to follow. COMP 248 is offered again in the fall, so if I drop it now, I could retake it then and take COMP 249 the following fall with the better prof. The downside is that would delay me by a full year.
Another option is retaking COMP 248 in the summer, but I’m unsure how I’d do in a condensed version of the course—it might be even more intense given the shorter time frame.
So I’m kind of stuck—should I drop the course now to protect my GPA and try again (either in the summer or fall)? Or push through and risk doing poorly, just to stay on track timing-wise?
Any advice would be really appreciated!

There’s a big lack of practice for this class. Midterm average was like 50%. Any advice on how to study for the exam? The slides are just taken from the textbook creator and the lectures are just general declarative statements about what’s written. It’s really not clear to me what is important and what is not. Any advice appreciated. Also will I need to implement each algorithm?

Anyone got a mock exam for the EC version? And for those that did it before how different is it from regular sections (that follow the same pattern of questions every year)

how to fix this? I have tried logging out and trying different computers, but it's not working. It's the same error every time.

My first semester was fall 2024 and i got the bursary. Now lets say i dont get it for this semester, will i still be able to get it for future semesters throughout my studies?

If you’re one of the half dozen people that are clearly sick and contagious studying in the library, the least you can do is wear a mask. I’ve been studying here all week and the number of people coughing up a lung every 5 minutes has more than doubled since last Friday. Either stay home or wear a mask.

Do I need to write an email or send a form to my teacher informing them that I’m dropping a class. I’m a JMSB student, and from what I read from the website it is not necessary, but I just wanted to make sure.
Your help would be appreciated!
